I've learned over the years not to touch the kitty belly too much. They've got too many pointy, sharp bits. :P

haha, I think he means the sharp teeth that will sink in you when you try petting there bellies. Usually kitty's don't like that too much, or at least don't let you do it without biting. :)

I do have a friend who owns a cat that loooooves having his belly rubbed, puppy-style. It's a weird thing to do, since every instinct I have says "No, really, he's going to shred your hand any second if you keep going." But he never does.

Awesome shot, he is soo cute. Makes me want to lay down and take a nap with him (I'm tired). Guess I wouldn't though since I do want to "wake up" later, in one piece preferably. XD

I have no idea what she'd do if you tried to lay down next to her, but I'm guessing she'd be pretty tolerant if you had some sardines or liver bits with you. :P

This was a shot I took at a local animal park... she's the resident bobcat, and fairly tame.

Adorable stuff.
And on the part of the kitty belly thing, if you're nice enough to them and build up their trust, they'll let you touch their bellies. I do that to my outside cat all the time, and he doesn't mind.

In my experience, it just depends on the cat. Some tolerate it, most hate it, and a very few seem to actively enjoy it. I've had some cats who were sweet as pie until you inadvertently brushed against their belly... then it was total claws-out fury. :P
