Absolutely love Okami. Most lengthy single-player games that aren't turn-based RPGs I get bored with after about 20-30 hours, but Okami lasted about 70 my first play through and by the end I was disappointed it was over so soon. Okamiden was a fun sequel, but I'd always be down for more. Especially since Okamiden helped lay the groundwork for continuing the story further.
As for Mega Man, I don't care what Capcom says. They don't give two shits about him. I'd be willing to wager they were just biding their time until Inafune eventually left just so they could toss the blue bomber into a bin somewhere and forget about him. It's no coincidence that they abandoned every title that was in production the moment he left, haven't done a single thing with the character since, and (from what I read) downright refused to let Inafune continue work on Mega Man Legends 3 when he requested permission to do so after he got his own production team together. Let's hope Mighty No. 9 smacks some sense into them.
Oh well. At least we've gotten some franchise cameos at least since their last mainstream releases. Smash and MvC were great opportunities to use the characters again to at least show they're not completely forgotten, and although it's a bit more of an obscure title it was really nice having X, Zero, and Tron in Project X Zone.

My first playthrough of Okami was like 65 hours, I spent a lot of time running around to look at everything and talk to everyone. I really hope they continue the series; I think a prequel featuring Shiranui would be awesome.
and yeah poor Mega Man. That's really sad about Inafune ahh I hope they reconsider him working on Mega Man. I don't think Capcom knows how many people love the series. I'm looking forward to Mighty No. 9 though.
I remember before MvC3 came out, I was so excited that they announced Amaterasu would be in the game, it's what made me buy the game! And I love Mega Man in Smash, Nintendo did a wonderful job with him.

Ammy's one of my primary three in MvC3 (alongside Iron Man and Taskmaster), though I wish I was a bit better with Mega Man in Smash. I've seen some people who are really good with him, though.
A prequel where you play as Shiranui would be neat, though might be a bit lacking in content unless they were to come up with a bunch of stuff involving a quest before the fight with Orochi. Or maybe they could just make it a shorter downloadable game that focuses on Shiranui's arrival in Kamiki Village, and keeping the village safe until the final conflict alongside Nagi.
