Few things to know:
*Both of them have multiple forms.
*Carlos is a humanoid with shapeshifting capabilities, and usually looks totally human or as shown here, in her anthro form. She has a few others sort of depending on her mood.
*Merriweather is a human who engages in pet play and the furry fandom, to a point. While he doesn't fursuit he does have leather masks and costumes made of various materials representing his two selves, a donkey sometimes called Shadow, which is more of his fursona, and a hampshire sheep known as Lamb or Pet, which is his sub form specifically when he's with his partner Luke.
*They're polyamorous. Carlos is dating Marina and Merri only. While she isn't involved with him, she does engage in sex with, live with, and greatly enjoy the company of Luke, Merri's other primary. Merri is with Carlos as well and has no other partners beyond casual and play, although he is platonically and sexually involved with Marina from time to time. Carlos has several submissives at any given time as she is a dominatrix that works with needle play and other forms of non-sexual impact play (ex. Martha)
"She may be but little, but she is fierce." - best way to describe Carlos. She is shorter than Merri by quite a bit and dommes him like an absolute pro. That, and her cock makes her feel damn powerful. I just love it when you post these pictures of your characters interacting. And even moreso I love reading about them and the stories behind the images. All of your alters are so fleshed out and have such life to them. I think it's really fascinating that Carlos is a MtF and is going through that along with other things, and that plays into her character and history. They are both just amazing, all your alters are.
I feel a strong connection like this to my primary voices, but I guess I can't say they're alters persay. But I, like you, have voiced my primary voices/the parts of me, to some therapists, who encourage that, and would encourage that in others with my conditions. It helps you understand the parts of yourself, to better bring them together to create me, the whole. If that makes sense and stuff. It's rare any voice truly dominates me or takes over for me. No matter what I'm still there, in control, even if my actions are being fueled by something a different voice would do. Only once or twice has this happened to me and those were both really spiritually awakening experiences. I moreso feel a deeper kinship to whichever voice is dominating in me that day, and I can reflect later…. hey I felt Devon strongly today, why is that? Well my heart was feeling toyed with, and some feelings for another were creeping to the surface. But I felt I didn't deserve it, so I just kept my mouth shut and just did what I thought would make everyone happy. - thereby using his traits to see those roles I play in my life.

Keep posting more of these I love them! Merri is becoming a fav of your characters for me. I just love him and want to hug him. And Carlos has always been a badass, love her purple hair especially here, and how you fade it with the gradients of purple. Oh and also Merri's cuts look so realistically self inflicted it's insane. And I love the difference in their eye structure, that matches the variance in their facial structures. Your use of anatomy kicks ass.

You actually do have symptoms then. With Merri and Carlos (only a handful of my babies are actually alters) they and the others don't actually -take over- unless I actually allow it and then it can happen at will for hours or days and I can talk to them and have them talk back. I do channel them in a similar way depending on what I'm dealing with, in order to process what's happening. I guess the reason I'm scared is having a mild version is usually safe and you don't even show typical symptoms of better-fleshed-out systems, but it's scary bc if I ever got into a bad situation again I could trigger an alter totally taking over to help me cope. That -could- go badly if someone in my headspace is an alter and I'm not aware because I don't give them voice or space (namely Sam). Even Merri could be too intense. He's sweet and kind but if he's having a bad week I could wind up sliced up or something (no offense; 'none taken'). plus I love them more easily than myself and that's not good ;-; i can expect to be able to transfer my love for them onto myself as a whole through therapy, which is the main reason I'm even addressing it. My therapist is super cool about it. It's so great.

Carlos is such a fucking badass. She used to have major anxiety and phobias and still struggles with nightmares that make her act like she's having night terrors except she remembers them buuut she has worked super hard on it and actually changing her diet helped her a lot; gluten and certain additives common in wheat products can make some people -very- anxious or very mean, same with dairy but she doesn't have trouble with that.
I love giving her different hair. A lot of lolitas wear wigs, she does that sometimes but dyes her hair a lot too. Guhhh.
I don't like when people don't do cuts realistically. it's so fucking dumb. Like dude it's not hard just don't make it look like you sliced a tomato .___.
pet peeves. I like things to look realistic. It makes things more real and emotional. Same with drawing underweight or heavier body types. I kind of excel at the former due to always having had an archetype (now as Merri) with ED severity depending :/// a thing I feel scared about is integrating Merri's issues; I'm so worried I'll wind up with bulimia again ;----;
