Questival Entry - Return of Zaros
"Ever since I began playing RuneScape, I have always been enticed in the depth that Jagex give to the stories; to the likes of the Gods and the people that walk the surface, such that I have always been excited when more lore is released or when a quest comes out to divulge my curiosities. Of all the quests, none were as intriguing to me as the Return of Zaros.
Inspired by what Zaros was or meant from the events during the Dig Site Quest, I began to write quests following this species called lycanthropes of the city of Arzonus, whom were a surviving people of Zaros beyond the God Wars. I closely followed the Zaros quests to fully flesh out the race in my own stories who would follow him. From Desert Treasure, which became my first Master quest completed, to Temple at Senntisten, understanding Zaros was not just an ambition for the game, but because of my writing, finding Zaros had become personal to me.
I continue writing my stories to this day and now I am close to fitting the final links in the chain as to just how serious the connection is between Zaros and the lycans of Arzonus. As I become more enticed into the roleplaying side of the community, I had created a character whose very existence tied into Zaros; Giovanni Magnus, whom is depicted in the picture. And when I finally saw Zaros, resurrected at last on Freneskae, I saw the face that was going to change my life's work forever. One day, this god, this previously intangible concept, was going to impact how the story of Arzonus was going to end. And this is why the Return of Zaros quest series means so much to me - because it has shaped so much of my work."
A re-edit of a previous piece of art.
Zaros belongs to Jagex, Giovanni belongs to me.
