Ok, so this was the character i was originally gonna model for
Psychosocial ,but i decided not to because i thought he was too complicated. But i changed my mind for 3 reasons!
1. I wasn't satisfied with the old Ryuu model i did last year, which wasn't even really a model, just some crappy sculpt. So i wanted to do it justice!
2. I figured this would also be a good opportunity for me to improve on my modelling skills, as Ryuu's design is a little bit complicated for a modeler.
3. Ryuu is like one of the most awesome characters ever! Have you seen the size of that bottom lip of his! x3 It isn't as big as it should be in the model as i followed it from his reference sheet, and his lip is a bit smaller there.
So yeah that's why. I'm a little annoyed i couldn't get the normal map to work, but i think it still looks alright the way it is.

Holy shit man, this is insanely awesome! I know Ryuu's design is a bit of a pain, I can't imagine how much of a nuisance it must be to make a 3D model of him - especially his horns - but damn you did an amazing job on this! It's great to see my sassy hunk in 3D <3
Apologies for the old reference sheet, it's super outdated and I should probably redo it...also yes his lip has gotten considerably plumper since then ;D But still I love this, dem teef. Not gonna lie, I've been staring at how the shine on his lips glistens across as he rotates for ages...
