Restricted to the Southern Hemisphere, the Giant Petrel are extremely aggressive birds earning them the nicknames of Glutton and Stinker. They are opportunistic feeders, feeding on all sorts of carrion as well as other live seabirds. They have been known to kill one another by battering or drowning.
