In the land of Equestria, the beautiful night of Princess Luna bathed the land in a dull light. The inhabitants laid snuggly in beds in their homes dreaming pleasant dreams about any number of things. The only things disturbing the peace of the night were the strange creatures that choose to be awake at such an hour. One of these creatures happened to be a rather grumpy griffon named Gilda. She walked through the forest quietly, feathers and fur ruffled and messy from months of neglect; her claws and paws were dirty and musky for the same reason.
It had been a long time since Gilda had visited her old friend Rainbow Dash in Ponyville nearby. When she was there Dash’s dweeby friends had humiliated her. And to add insult to injury, Dash had the nerve to choose those dweebs over Gilda! Ever since then, Gilda had been plotting revenge to pay Rainbow Dash back for humiliating her. She was so obsessed with revenge that she had been hiding in the Everfree Forest ever since. It had been a long time, so long that Gilda had lost track of how long it had been. But today was the day Gilda would have revenge, and she didn’t even realize it.
As Gilda crept through the forest quietly, she could hear a hushed voice among some bushes. “What the hay is that?” Gilda said quietly. “Great. Now I’m talking to myself and speaking like those dweebs.” She thought as she stealthy approached the voice to figure out what its source was. Through a space in the thicket, Gilda could see a single unicorn in some dorky cape standing in a clearing. “It’s time for I, The Great and Powerful Trixie, to enact my revenge. By using this forbidden amulet I got from that greedy fool, I can harness its magical power to make me the most powerful creature in Equestria.” The strange unicorn cackled.
What Gilda heard from that pony greatly intrigued her. “The most powerful huh?” Gilda thought as she reached for a stone by her claws. “I’d like that very much!” She shouted hurling the stone at the pony’s head. The pony was to slow to react before she was knocked unconscious by the stone. “Great and Powerful my left wing.” Gilda scoffed as she walked out from, behind the bushes. Turning over the unconscious body of the unicorn, Gilda locked her eyes on the object the unicorn had been speaking of. It was just some dumb amulet, probably worn around the neck, bearing the effigy of a red-and-gray winged unicorn. What really caught Gilda’s attention was a massive blood-red gem on the amulet.
Despite its menacing appearance, Gilda was overall unimpressed by the amulet. “How could this stupid thing help anyone with revenge?” Gilda wondered, raising her eyebrow. “Whatever, I should have none some dweeby amulet wouldn’t be any help to me.” She mumbled tossing the amulet on the ground. As she resumed her trek through the woods, Gilda brought one of her brown paws down onto the amulet crushing it into dust with ease. “What a wasted of time.” She groaned. To Gilda nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but anything nearby would have seen her briefly glow with an evil red aura after she had crushed the amulet.
Gilda paced through the forest back to her campsite, her mood fouler more than usual because of the failure of that amulet. At first she didn’t take notice of all the things she crushed under her paws, she had grown accustomed to the crunching of sticks, leaves, and bugs, but when she got back to her camp something seemed off. Her once comfortably sized tent was smaller then she remembered it being. “Hmm? Wasn’t this thing… bigger?” She said curiously as she paced around the tent. She could have sworn that the tent used to be perfectly the height of her whole body, but now it only came up to her neck.
Gilda suddenly took notice of one particularly loud *squish* that sounded from beneath her paw. Groaning in disgust, she lifted her paw to examine it. The splattered remains of a cockroach were visible on one of her large brown toes. Gilda was disgusted… but also curious. “I’ve crushed these things before…” she began as she scraped the remains from her toe, “but they used to be bigger than that. They were the size of my paw before, not my toe!”
Gilda felt a strange surge of power run through her. “Ha. I gotta test something.” She grumbled leaving her campsite. She looked around the forest as she trekked through it. On her path up ahead was a branch high up in the trees that caught Gilda’s attention. As she walked towards the branch, she heard another loud *squish*. As she continued to walk, Gilda lifter her back paw to see three cockroaches squished under her sole. “Now I can crush three with just my- ouch!” Gilda’s train of thought was interrupted when she ran directly into a branch, the same one that had once been too high for her to reach without flying. Gilda noticed that the branch was now at her chest level and laughed.
“I knew it, I’m growing! Whenever my paws crush something I get a huge increase in size!” Gilda cheered happily. “This could work! It’s my ticket to revenge.” She laughed, the strange red aura from before surrounding her again. Apparently her laughter drew quite a lot of attention to herself because Gilda suddenly found herself surrounded by a pack of timberwolves. Gilda didn’t care, in fact she was happy to see them. “Oh ho ho! Am I glad to see you guys! You’ll give me a nice boost in size!” Gilda taunted as she brought her brown paws on about half the pack, crushing them instantly. The other members of the pack tried in vain to take Gilda down, but were quickly obliterated just as easily by Gilda’s other paw.
“Ha, too easy.” Gilda grunted as she shut her eyes, savoring the sensation of her body slowly expanding in size. Apparently, the timberwolves weren’t done yet. The sticks, twigs, and leaves that were once the pack slowly combined into one and formed a truly massive king timberwolf. The king was so massive that it reached the top of the trees, but Gilda dwarfed even its massive size. Gilda was so large that she easily matched the height of an Ursa Major and even slightly surpassed that height.
“Hello little wolf. I’d like you to meet my foot.” Gilda said as she brought her paw down onto the wolf. The timberwolf howled pathetically as Gilda’s paw crashed down upon it and forced it to the ground. “Let’s see you come back from this.” Gilda said as she scrunched her toes together gathering up the pieces of the king between them. As Gilda continued to scrunch and wiggle her toes, the remains of the king were slowly ground into dust and became a new portion of the layer of toe jam that had formed between her toes long ago. “Now that it is out of the way, it’s time for me to get my revenge.” Gilda said as she turned her attention to Ponyville.
By the time she made it to Ponyville, the radiant sun of Princess Celestia was up in the sky warming the air considerably. It was so hot that Gilda had worked up quite a sweat. She rested briefly in front of Ponyville; none of the buildings in the innocent town came close to the size of her toes alone. The sudden appearance of her large shadow and the accompanying dripping of sweat from her paws made people think a storm and flood had suddenly appeared. None of the town’s inhabitants, not even the newest princess of Equestria, could escape both the sweaty residue of Gilda’s paw and their foul scent. Many an unfortunate pony either drowned in the sweat or slowly suffocated on the stench. “Hey dweebs! I’m so happy to see you all again! Ready for some fun?” Gilda asked playfully as she lifted her monolithic brown paw above the town.
As Gilda prepared to crush the town with one swift movement, she suddenly heard a familiar voice shouting to her, “GILDA STOP!” Gilda’s beak shifted into a sadistic grin as her eyes locked onto a tiny blue dot that seemed to hover in front of her face. “Hey flip flop! How’ve you been?” Gilda asked with a fake friendly tone. “Gilda! How’d you get so big!? And why are you attacking Ponyville!?” Shouted a frightened Rainbow Dash. Gilda laughed joyfully, although it was dripping with evil to all but her ears. “I’m getting revenge.” She began as she grabbed Rainbow Dash in her yellow claws. “Revenge on you and all your dweeby friends for humiliating me. It was nice knowing you… well at least until you betrayed me.” With nothing more than a scoff, Gilda carelessly tossed Rainbow Dash into the center of Ponyville below her and stomped down onto the small town. In an instant, the town of Ponyville was gone from the face of Equestria replaced with only a paw shaped crater. In a cruel twist of fate, Rainbow Dash was the only survivor of the destruction and would suffer the fate of being permanently stuck within the mountainous range of Gilda’s toe jam. She’d ultimately have to forge a life for herself by surviving off the sustenance provided by Gilda’s toe jam and quenching her thirst with Gilda’s toe sweat.
Beyond the seemingly infinite world of Gilda’s toes, the giant paw of Gilda shook in the air, trying to rid itself of any debris remaining from Ponyville. Gilda shuddered happily as she felt another increase to her size surge through her body. That evil red aura once again returned, shining more fiercely than ever, and it quickly turned Gilda’s once yellow eyes into a dark red. Gilda laughed evilly, the might of the laughter shaking the very earth. “Why should I stop with just that little town? It’s time for me to show this place some Griffon superiority. No, not Griffon superiority, MY superiority!” She giggled as she started towards her next destination.
The once large land of Equestria was now a much more traversable plain that seemed to stretch on for probably a few miles to the massive Griffon. Gilda casually walked across the great continent of Equestria, crushing a multitude of other small towns under her paws without even noticing. Her trek went on for a long time, uninterrupted by any obstacle; Gilda even simply brushed aside Cloudsdale. The once beautiful city of clouds was swatted down to the ground and trodden upon like a common housefly by the massive Griffon. The next great city to fall victim to Gilda was the city of Manehattan. The inhabitants of the city looked up to see a massive griffon with toes the size of a mountain. Gilda looked down to see an ugly mass of grey scaring the side of the otherwise beautiful landscape. “Ugh. I always thought you dweeby ponies loved natural beauty or something like that. But that city is just an ugly mass of grey! I’m doing Equestria a favor crushing this thing.” Gilda’s brown paw soon replaced the sky for all the inhabitants of Manehattan. They all tried desperately to survive, some chose to hide and others choose to hide in buildings. Of course all attempts to survive were in vain as paw crashed down onto the city, like a sweaty musky meteor. Like all the cities before it, Manehattan, in all of its modern glory, disappeared under Gilda’s paw. “Ha! That was fast, I thought such a big city would give some kind of resistance.” Gilda said as she wiped her paw on a nearby mountain to clean it.
After she had cleaned her paw, Gilda resumed her trek towards her destination. She soon felt a bit of cold nipping at her and the landscape changed from a lush green to a pure snow white. “Alright, almost there! I can’t wait to see this ‘Crystal Empire”. I hope I don’t step on it by accident.” Gilda scoffed as her paws first sank into the deep snow. Gilda walked casually through the blizzards that raged across the snowy landscape without so much as a shiver. “I thought it was supposed to be cold around here.” Gilda grumbled as she shook the snow from her head. Wherever she walked, a large paw print was left in its wake. A few drops of her paw sweat were warm enough to melt some considerable layers of snow near her paw prints.
After spending sometime trekking through the frozen landscape, Gilda found what she was looking for. Even at her considerable size, the Crystal Empire was still surprisingly large. The Empire still wasn’t much larger than a single paw, but it was large nonetheless. “So this is the great ‘Crystal Empire’? Pfft! I’ve seen better!” Gilda scoffed. Gilda wanted to get to stomping right away but she decided to bide her time. The considerable cold of the area hadn’t done much to affect the sweaty musky condition of Gilda’s paws. The awful stench of Gilda’s paw slowly wafted into the otherwise clean air of the empire and choked the lungs of its inhabitants, even the inhabitants of the castle on the far end of the empire could not avoid the stench. Soon Gilda could see masses of crystal ponies leaving their houses in coughing fits. The musky stench of the Gilda’s paw weren’t the empire’s only problem, the sweat proved to be just as deadly. By the time the crystal ponies had left the safety of their houses, the massive amount of sweat that had been dripping from Gilda’s paws had turned into a flood heading into the empire. Anypony not smart enough to get back inside was swept away by the flood of paw sweat and lost forever. Gilda couldn’t help but laugh, “I can’t believe that I don’t even have to move to crush an empire with my paws anymore.” But Gilda couldn’t stand by idly and not actively partake in the destruction, so she lifted up her paws and brought them down on two separate sections of the city. “Congratulations!” Gilda said sarcastically. “Your city survived more than one of my paws! Too bad I’m not done yet or else you might have survived.” Despite the valiant yet entirely futile effort of the Princess’ husband to protect her and her kingdom, they both joined their empire in being crushed under the dirty sweaty paws of Gilda.
As Gilda wiggled her toes on the spot where the Crystal Palace once stood, an exciting thought raced through her head. “Oh! That’d be some good fun, I better head their now before those two try something.” Gilda thought. With a few small steps, some of which completely flattened a number of expansive mountain ranges, Gilda was towering in front of the comparatively small city of Canterlot. Gilda was so massively large that the feathers that stuck out from the top of her head were large enough to completely block out the sun. In the Canterlot Castle Princesses Luna and Celestia, both of whom were regarded as goddesses among pony kind, stood in awe and terror of the giant Griffon, trembling in their golden and dark blue shoes like fillies on Nightmare Night. They hadn’t received the news of the giant Griffon in time and could do nothing but wait to see what fate would hold for them now. “Greetings citizen of Canterlot!” began Gilda in a mockingly royal tone, “It is I, the true goddess of Equestria, Gilda! Do not look to your princesses to save you! They have failed and will spend eternity under my paws as punishment. None of you will be as lucky however so goodbye to your loved ones; I have come to destroy you, farewell!” Gilda was quick and merciless as she brought down a paw on Canterlot; at her current size Gilda only needed to use a toe, but it was more fun to use her whole paw.
Canterlot, the city that was once the most magnificent place on the planet disappeared without any resistance. It’s tall proud buildings collapsed at the slightest touch from Gilda’s paw and the cries of fear from the inhabitants were silenced when her stomp was complete. As Gilda said, Princesses Celestia and Luna ended up surviving Canterlot’s destruction. They’d have to spend the rest of eternity between the toes of the Griffon who had destroyed their kingdom and live off the toe jam and sweat that covered them. The surge of size was so pleasing to Gilda that she moaned happily as she shot up rapidly in size. The cry was so loud that the whole planet heard it, and before long the entire planet was covered in a shadow, Gilda’s shadow. Far above the atmosphere wiggled Gilda’s toes, even larger than the planet itself. “Look at that stupid little rock!” Gilda thought. “It’s not nearly big enough to hold all my awesomeness! Not even close!” Gilda’s celestial toes gently wrapped around the planet and slowly scrunched together. Magma filled craters and creases quickly spread across the surface of the planet before it completely collapsed between the goddess-like Gilda’s toes. Its remains scattered like dust in the wind only to fall into and become part of Gilda’s Milky Way sized clump of toe jam.
Once again Gilda surged in size, this time straining the very boundaries of the universe she once called human. With the smallest of effort she broke through the invisible barriers of her universe and grew even larger. Eventually she stopped when she reached the size large enough to replace her old universe. “Yes! I truly am awesome!” She shouted victoriously, her booming voice echoing into the multiverse. “It’s time for everyone, everywhere to witness the awesomeness that is ME.” Gilda giggle happily as she began her journey towards the next universe; surely it would be able to keep her amused, at the very least for a little while.
