"At the end of the flooding season, a message arrived at Zawty at my father's chambers. Ady, pharaoh of Waset, was supposed to visit Zawty for my 30th namesday as well as my father's 50th. Preparations were made, an entire wing inside the al-Khemi palace was freed and set up for the pharaoh to stay as well as for his guards and other accompagning servants and family.
So when Ady was there and rested from his long voyage, we exchanged blessings and presents. It was a good feeling how he was thanking us al-Khemis for the great work we did here in Zawty... how the city was prospering. It felt good to get some recognition from the gods in shape of their embodyment on earth.
So in the afternoon it became my task to show the pharaoh around in Zawty, especially giving him a lot of time to see the big Anubis temple we had been erecting for the last few years and which was completed not long ago. Whenever there was a question from the pharaoh, I explained to him. It took me several hours to finish the tour, but I am happily exhausted.
Our highness is resting in his guest chambers for now... tomorrow he requested to inspect the guard and army quarters as well as the city walls. After all we need to be prepared if the Hyksos are attacking us again. While we're preparing to invade the lands they stole from us. One week is his visit supposed to last before he then leaves us again to visit some of the other sepats on his way back to Waset. I am already looking towards the coming days."

Very nice commission/gift art from
adythewolfking and drawn by my mate
kory. Ady insisted to have this picture along with me, so I am very glad that he enjoyed his stay at our city.
