Well, I think a lot of the hunters would be too close to Samus and would feel Clone-y (like Sylux or Kanden). However, Weavel has the most unique premise of all of them, and as you can see in the picture, he can be in two spots at once with his Halfturret alt-mode! :D
Actually, half the game is in english. You learn pretty easily which symbols mean what and I'm sure there's plenty of guides if you want to know more. I definitely recommend it if you like the idea of an anime-centric smash brothers game! Even with the Wi-Fi disabled, there's still a ton to do! :3
Yeah I know. I'm hoping if Splatoon sells well enough, they'll be seriously considered for Smash 5, since that also was basically confirmed (since Sakurai no longer is going to leave the smash bros team)

Oh I wasn't saying that he'd be doing it right away; on the contrary. With the fact that Smash Bros will have DLC characters, his work load is much lighter and hopefully that'll keep him in good spirits! But yes, he works so hard on these games, and it really shines through!
I personally think Weavel (as shown above) would be a good choice, mostly due to the fact that he'd be a totally unique addition! Sadly, Sylux is the Nintendo favorite and is a Samus clone so if any of the hunters make it in, he'd probably be the one but Weavel is a cybernetic space pirate who can split in half. Wouldn't that be fun?
NAMCO: Taizo Hori (He's about as iconic as Pac-man for NAMCO),Clovis (Dragon Buster is a very neat little game and he would a very unique sword fighter), Gilgamesh (Tower of Druaga is very unique game and I feel like Gilgamesh could end up sort a of beinga mix of Link and Marth), and Tekken characters cause why not.
SEGA: Nights ( She deserves more recognition as a character, she could be very unique plus she's quite basically everything Sonic is not from what I've heard), Alex Kidd (The original SEGA mascot), Billy Hatcher( Egg based attacks could be cool) Beat ( I imagine him attacking with kicks from his skates and using spray paint) AiAi ( Rolling in a ball probably has battle advantages), Amigo ( Music based attacks anyone?), and Gillius ( Using an axe and magic attacks could turn into really cool combos).

Billy hatcher hasn't been in any recent games at all, so I doubt he would make the cut unless they were rebooting him. Honestly I can't see any other non-Sonic SEGA characters making the cut. As for the other games by Namco, I don't think any of them are quite as popular as Pac-Man is so it's doubtful too, THOUGH the Pooka did make it in Smash as an enemy, so Taizo Hori is as good as any!

SEGA: Ristar (Yes, he's been forgotten but he's still a cool character), Vectorman(his ability to transform would be unique to the battle feild).
NAMCO: Toby Mosuyo ( she could work that proton gun into new combos),Bravoman (imagine long-range melee attacks)...
