Another picture I had been procrastinating about for months, mainly because the more I worked on it, the uglier it looked. I think this is the last time I attempt painting watercolors on mdf board, it's more trouble than it's worth.

It still doesn't look bad tho, blue, but I know you're the worst perfectionist out there *hugs* If anything the colors look a tad ... blah... with lack of a better word, but that is probably just the scanner or this laptop >v>
I still like ovo and want if you want to sell it.
The dragon is being recycled by nature :O

mdf clearly stands for muddahfuckin'. mdf board, voila.
If he is a fail dragon, he clearly would cost less than the standard, less-fail dragon. And therefore I want to buy one. He appears eco-friendly. His chin-goatee-root thing is the best, too.
I really do like this one, though...your coloring captures lots. The sky and water aren't shining with beautiful perfect angelic color...they match the mood of the fail dragon. And he is fail, so obviously we can't have shining beautiful perfect angelic ANYTHING. I take your attempts at claiming failure and use it against you! I would also like to use one of those legs against you. That may sound provocative, but I intend only to beat you with the muscleyness so you might not berate yourself as much. Actually, I don't even want to beat you. I just want that leg. That is a very nicely done leg. It's better than ENERGY LEGS.
It is too early in the morning for good commenting. I do truly like the mood set by the colors, though...and his treeliness.

Quite ecofriendly :O Fully recycleable.
The brownness of the entire thing accentuates the fail. This is what happens when you paint watercolors on brown board. It results in fail dragons.
I am glad you like the legs! With added POWER THIRST, these can become energy legs x10000.
Thanks muchly :) Too early for good commenting? This is lies. You always manage to provide comments abounding with entertainment and in depth-ness, even when they are created early in the morning. I appreciate this greatly. And I counter your early morning comments with exhausted-dead responses! So cunning.

And at number one on tonight's top ten list of "signs you've been sitting in one place too long," we have...!
I can imagine MDF might be a hard medium to use with watercolors; it would have to be quite thirsty. Anyway, you seem to have overcome that smashingly. At risk of sounding like a pretentious dork, I would say it almost seems to have lent something to the piece in the texture of the earth. Maybe it's my imagination, but I get a sense of very fine soil texture, and your extravagant shading really brings it to life. Not that soil quality is somehow terribly important artistically, but it adds something subtle; more than just seeing the picture, you almost feel like you know how it'd feel to be standing there.

Sorry for the horribly late response.
I think at least part of the problem was over-using black on this, it ended up much darker than I had in mind. I'm glad the earth looks good to you. I actually used the color of the MDF for that, and just applied black for the shading/texture.
Thanks very much for your thoughts.
