Recording of Chaconne in E minor by Baroque Composer Dietrich Buxtehude performed by me. It was actually a pain, to take all my recording equipment to my old school to record on their pipe organ, and I was running into some issues because of static I was getting. Somehow turning my whole recording system off and back on fixed the problem. Still, it is hard to capture the organ and the hall where all the sound is resonating unless I have more microphones. I used three microphones here because that's really all I had time to set up, two were near the pipes and one was more of a distance away. I would have liked to try to experiment more with microphone placement but given the fact I have to check out the hall in order to use it, I had to sort of set up how I thought it would work and then get started.
Buxtehude was an important composer of the German mid-Baroque. He was so well known that J.S. Bach actually made a trip to go see him perform as he was so well known at the time.
