Here's a close up photo of the feathers from my wings. This sort of shows their feathery texture although they look a little shinier than in person. I must say, they've held up fairly well over time. I've had the main feathers for about 3 years now and been in numerous fursuit games with them (yes, someone sat on them in musical chairs). The worst damage they've suffered is from sticking together (the non-shiny areas)because I put the wrong finish on them and I've been lazy and repaired the damage with sharpie... There's a few wrinkles from bending but they sort of blend into the texture.

These feathers are made from craft/fun foam with a hot glue feather vane down the center. The texture comes from a combination of scoring the feathers with multiple lines running out from the center and from the brush strokes left by the mod podge I used to seal them(this also made them sticky so I would recommend an alternative or another layer of non sticky sealer on top).
