The next step in preparing the art for colouring was to fill in the background with "deep space" black. It was only at this point it began to look at all good in my eyes. Before this I had to ignore doubts and trust instinct.

Actually, in the final version it'll read "Holy Crap, it's full of stars". You have to tailor these things to the intended audience and everyone knows that SF fans don't know what sex is.
