A few days ago I finally got my very first custom armature. Complete with pictures pre-shipping. i have a ton of them I want made, but i got Artemis finished first for the following reasons. 1. the opportunity to finally get a digigrade armature made. 2. to show off said armature to the furry community, thus showing a perfect example of a furry option for the a9. 3. I ordered two of them, one for me and one for Gen who owns and created Artemis. It seemed only fair after all she's done that her character should be my first custom.
After getting official pictures. I spread them EVERYWHERE. I shoved them on twitter, I shoved them on Tumblr and I promoted the hell out of them here. And it REALLY PAID OFF. So much so that we were able to get 1000 likes on his facebook page.

You can swap out limbs? Huh. That would actually help with certain kinds of transformation art. Like a werewolf that hasn't quite figured out how to shift right. Instead of the whole body at once, it goes kinda random, making him awkward until he's finished.
'Course, when I think about it, a lot of werewolves are portrayed as having way more anatomical changes than just their legs. The whole torso and the way the neck connects tend to be altered too.
Do they offer something like that, or are they still working on fantasy/sci-fi armatures?

the a9 guy actually does make props for the armatures, they're simple right now (sword, bo-staff, bow and arrow) but they'll get more complex as they go. i wouldn't put anything REALLY heavy in thier arms and some coating of joints wouldnt go amiss (simple masking tape on the elbow joints to tighten them up) but the props that have been made for it so far work pretty well at holding the poses. I love the complex arms but they're also a little disporportionate compared to the simple hands he offers but the tradeoff is they can't hold anything. He is working on finding a compromise between the two, hands that can grip but arent quite so manuveraable.
