Not as One with Nature as She Thought (by pokemonbug)
Oki dokie, first of all you need to know that this story wasn't written by me, it was a request written for me by http://www.furaffinity.net/user/pokemonbug/ , huge thanks to him, please check his channel out.
We agreed to publish this lovely story on both of our channel so... here it is.
With that said, I hope you enjoy this story about Fluttershy enjoying a relaxing barefoot walk in the forest, not realizing that to many little creatures she's definitely not as cute and harmless as she is to us.
In the alternate land of Equestria Girls, Fluttershy walked quietly through the woods. She and the others had a free day to do whatever they wanted, and Fluttershy had decided to spend the day in the woods. She had been spending so much time with her friends lately and it was a nice change of pace. Her hair was done up in her usual long light pink with curls at each end and her special butterfly braid in its usual place. She was dressed in her usual white tank top and lime-green skirt, but had chosen to leave off her socks and boots in order to be more in touch with nature.
Fluttershy had been walking for quite a while now and the usual pleasant olive color of her feet had been dirtied with both grass and dirt. She didn’t mind though, it felt good to let her feet out of her boots and walk barefoot on the cool grass. She truly did love nature and she was so immersed in her walk that she didn’t realize what her walk was doing to the creatures of the forest. To her fellow creatures that matched her size, she was an adorably shy girl who couldn’t harm a fly. To anything that wasn’t her size though, she was indirectly terrifying and nothing like the way we see her.
To the creatures below Fluttershy’s notice, and there were plenty despite her caring and observant nature, she was a towering goddess-like being that could crush them all without noticing. Her delicate olive feet were the most terrifying thing the smaller creatures of the forest had seen in a long time. Under their mighty weight many unfortunate bugs met their end. Nothing was safe from the oblivious Fluttershy; bees pollinating on flowers disappeared with a soft crunch and butterflies too tired to keep flying were quietly squished as well. The soft crunches and squishes of the bugs were drowned out by Fluttershy’s sweet melodic humming as she happily skipped through the forest.
“It’s so beautiful today! All the birds are chirping, and the squirrels are playing in the trees. Nothing could ruin this day.” Fluttershy sighed happily. Suddenly, the birds of the forest seemed to burst into a beautiful song. “Oh, that’s wonderful.” Fluttershy froze in place and stood there, mesmerized by the beautiful song. When the song swelled into a beautiful orchestra of birds, Fluttershy swooned. “Oh my, there aren’t any words for me to describe how happy this makes me.” She sighed, happily spinning in her place. All of the bugs that had gathered around to gaze at her beauty were quickly and painlessly squished under the feet of the joyful Fluttershy.
As quickly as the song had begun, it was over and Fluttershy stopped spinning with a deep blush on her face. “Oh my! I’m glad that nobody was around to see that.” She said in an embarrassed tone. Once the blush disappeared from her cheeks, Fluttershy resumed her walk through the forest. She soon found herself in a lovely clearing bathed in a radiant glow of sunlight. The forest floor was covered with a marvelous arrangement of colorful flowers and mushrooms. “Wow! This place is so pretty!” Fluttershy gasped, taking a nervous step forward. She heard a soft squelch under her feet. “Hmm? What was that?” She wondered. Hopping gently on one foot, she examined the underside of her other foot and found the squished remains of a mushroom stuck to her foot. “Oh, just a mushroom! That’s a relief.” Fluttershy said as she brushed off the mushroom.

The Quakies, who were the Equestria Girls world equivalent of the Breezies, had been spending their days like they normally did, basking in the warm glow of the sun at their village. But then the strange earthquakes started. None of the Quakies knew what was causing them, so they decided to keep trying and enjoy their day in spite of it. Any chance of the day being normal and uneventful was quickly dashed when an olive skinned giantess suddenly appeared out of nowhere. At first no one really panicked, the girl didn’t seem dangerous and some of the male Quakies thought she was cute. However, any attraction those Quakies might have felt for the giantess were quickly replaced by fear when she effortlessly crushed one of their mushroom shaped houses with her foot. The Quakies had never dealt with anything like this girl before; she was truly massive. The only thing they could think of doing was to run around and scream in fear as the giantess continued to rampage through their city.
*************************************************************************
Fluttershy took her first few steps into the clearing, eager to get a closer look at its natural beauty. Before making much progress she had to stop in her tracks to wipe some more mushroom bits from the soles of her feet. “Oh my, there certainly are a lot of mushrooms here.” Fluttershy mumbled. Despite the need to stop every few steps to wipe mushroom bits from her feet, Fluttershy was still completely absorbed in the beauty of the clearing. She circled all around the clearing taking in every single beautiful detail she could. “It’s so beautiful here! I can’t believe nothing lives here.”
The mushroom-like houses of the Quakies weren’t the only things that the giantess’ feet crushed. Many unfortunate Quakies met their end under the oblivious feet of the giantess. The first Quakie to meet his demise had quite the experience. He had been unfortunate enough to trip directly into the path of the girl. He turned onto his back to see the olive colored foot of Fluttershy right above his body. He was too terrified to scream and could only wait for his unavoidable demise. When the giantess’ foot touched him, time seemed to slow down. The skin was so soft and smooth that it felt pleasant to the touch. The Quakie relaxed a bit, fear no longer gripping his soul, and enjoyed the feeling of the skin on his little body before being completely crushed. Fluttershy felt a soft tickle under her foot and smiled softly. “What was that? It felt kind of nice.” She quickly decided that it was just some sort of plant that just happened to be in her path; she would step on many of these “plants” as she enjoyed the scenery.
The giantess continued to obliviously crush both the Quakies and their village. Many of them suffered the same fate as the first Quakie, but one of them had a bit of a different experience. He trembled where he stood, paralyzed by fear, as he heard a resounding boom in his ears. He opened an eye timidly to see where he was and discover why he hadn’t been crushed. He found himself conveniently standing between two giant toes of the giant girl. He wasn’t sure if he was happy or terrified of his position, and when the giant foot began to move again he clung onto the toes without stopping to think. His stomach dropped like a kid’s on a rollercoaster as the giantess continued her rampage while he clung to her toe. After a few steps, the giantess stopped in her tracks. “Huh, that grass between my toes is kind of annoying. I wonder if I can…” The movement of her toes soon drowned out the booming voice of the giantess that rang in the Quakie’s ears. The giant toes wiggled around him wildly, the tremors they caused reigniting the fear in his soul. He cried out in terror as he was tossed from the girl’s toe and quickly crushed like many of his fellow Quakies. “There we go! That’s better.” Fluttershy sighed to herself, happy to be rid of the “grass” between her toes.
Despite the severity of the danger they were in, the Quakies continued to do nothing but run around in fear as the giantess continued to destroy the city. The beautiful humming noise the giantess made as she so casually destroyed their village did not make the Quakies any less afraid. No one knew how many Quakies had been crushed by the giantess, but they realized that they’d probably all end up being crushed if they didn’t get her attention. “Hey you guys!” Shouted a Quaky to his friends who were hiding under the petals of a flower. His friends glanced over at him, fear plain in their eyes. “Hey! What are you doing Pebble Dust!? Get over here and hide with us!” Shouted one of the Quakies. Pebble Dust shook his head. “No! You guys come over here! I need your help to get her attention!” He shouted pointing up at the giantess.
Pebble’s friends looked between each other hesitantly before running over to him. “Alright, what’s the plan?” One of them asked. Pebble took a deep breath, as if he was about to start spouting out some elaborate plan, but stopped suddenly. Not wanting to take long, Pebble quickly said the first thing that came to mind. “We’re going to climb on top of the biggest house we can find and shout at her until she notices us!” He said trying to sound confident in the plan. The others stared at him dumbly for a few seconds. “That’s your genius plan!? That won’t work!” Shouted the same Quakie who had asked for the plan. “H-hey it’s all I can think of! It’s not like we can fly! Now follow me.” Pebble said running in a random direction, uncertain of what building he and the others were going to stand on.
The violent quaking of the giantess’ footsteps crept up behind Pebble and his pals as they searched for a suitable building to stand on. “Alright guys it’s now or never, hoist me up onto this roof!” Pebble shouted pointing at the town hall, the tallest building located in the center of the town. As quickly as they could, Pebble’s friends got onto each other’s shoulders and elevated Pebble to the roof. “You better get this girl’s attention, or it’s curtains for all of us!” Said the last of Pebble’s friends as he finished climbing onto the roof. “Yeah, I knew that already!” He shouted back smacking him on the top of the head. As soon as he got onto the roof Pebble turned around to see the giantess standing just a street away from the town hall. He took in the deepest breath of his life before shouting as hard as he could, “HEY! YOU NEED TO LOOK DOWN HERE!”
***************************** Stomped Ending!******************************
Fluttershy took one more step before stopping dead center in the middle of the clearing. The only group of Quakies who had been smart enough to try and get her attention was crushed painlessly under her massive foot along with the last building in the village. “I’ll have to come back here another time and admire the scenery again.” Fluttershy sighed happily before turning on her heels and walking away. It’s rather ironic really. It was Fluttershy, the element of kindness and the gentlest person around, who was responsible for the demise of an entire species. And she brought that demise to them completely unintentionally by crushing them all underfoot without noticing.
Fluttershy would later bring back all of her friends to admire the scenery she loved so much. None of them knew that they were standing upon the remains of what used to be the home of the miniscule species known as the Quakies. They were walking on the remains of a once happy civilization that had fallen victim to the feet of one of their friends, and they were non the wiser.
****************************** Being Noticed Ending**************************
Fluttershy froze in place when she heard a tiny voice call out to her. Setting her foot down gently, she didn’t budge an inch until she heard the voice again. “Um, w-who’s there?” She asked timidly, her voice turning into a meek whisper. She could just barely make out the words of the small voice again. “We’re down here! In the center of the village!” It said, the voice was laced with fear. “Village!?” Fluttershy thought fearfully. She looked down at the spot where she thought the voice came from. She squinted her eyes a bit until she could make out the shape of what looked like… a little person! “Oh my goodness!” Fluttershy exclaimed, although it was still oddly quiet. She couldn’t believe her eyes and fearful thoughts began to creep into her mind.
Fluttershy carefully set herself down onto her knees and reached out a gentle hand to the small creature. The creature didn’t hesitate to climb on, and as soon as she was sure the creature would be safe, she brought her hand to her face. “Wh-what are you? And why are you so small?” Fluttershy whispered to the creature, not wanting to hurt its ear. “My name is Pebble Dust and I’m what you’d call a Quakie!” The tiny creature shouted up to her. “I’m Fluttershy.” She whispered in response. “Well Fluttershy, I… uh… I hate to tell you this because you seem really nice, but you just kind of destroyed my entire village under your feet without realizing.” Pebble said quickly, not wanting to hurt the girl’s feelings. She might have just destroyed his home, but she didn’t seem like the kind who’d do such a thing on purpose.
When Fluttershy heard what Pebble said, she could feel her eyes start to tear up. “Wh-what!?” Fluttershy squeaked as the first of her tears leaked from her eyes. “Y-you’re telling me that I just cr-crushed a whole village of you little Qu-quakies without even realizing it?” Fluttershy was already in a fit of tears at the very idea and quickly started to sob. Pebble felt awful for making the giant girl cry so much. Part of him scolded himself for being so sympathetic to the girl, but another part of him told him that he needed to calm her down. “O-okay! You can cry as long as you want… go ahead and calm yourself.” He said patting Fluttershy’s hand in an attempt to comfort her.
It took a few minutes, and it probably did more harm to the remaining Quakies then good, but Fluttershy was finally calm enough to be talked to again. “I’m so sorry!” Fluttershy squeaked apologetically, tears still in her eyes. “I promise I’ll do all I can to help you rebuild!” She looked at Pebble Dust who still stood calmly in the palm of her hand with a desperate look in her eyes. “You’ll let me help right? You can forgive me?” She asked hopefully. Pebble’s consciousness screamed at him, demanding that he make the girl feel even worse, make her beg for forgiveness, and make her trade her home for their destroyed one. But he couldn’t bring himself to do that. “Y-yes! Yes I forgive you! And I’m sure everyone else will too when you help us rebuild! We could really use the help! So please just stop crying!” Pebble said, really hoping that Fluttershy would stop crying.
Pebble’s words seemed to calm Fluttershy down a bit and she wiped the tears from her eyes. “Th-thank you! I’ll be happy to help until you all have a home again! And until then you can all stay at my cottage.” She said as she gently petted Pebble on the head with a finger. Pebble blushed deeply at the gentle petting, it felt pretty good. Looking back at that time, Pebble thought he might have been too nice. But then he’d remember the great times he and the other Quakies had at Fluttershy’s cottage and how amazing the new village was when Fluttershy and her friends were done rebuilding it. Even though Fluttershy had nearly been the death of them, she felt glad that she had found the Quakies’ little village. After all, ever since that fateful day she made a lot of new friends and she helped to make their lives a lot better.
