Endless Realms player class - Peacemaker
Player class artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Once a secretive order of assassins, the Peacemakers have since become highly skilled, extremely mobile fighters specializing in all forms of ranged weaponry, often called upon to take out strategic targets, "fix" problems, and execute other special jobs with tactical precision. Here we have a Skidi Peacemaker demonstrating his acrobatic archery prowess ;P

only "complaint" i would say is that it feels far less "proper" of a true assassin. face visible, and feels way closer toward mainstream Assassin's Creed styled outfitting than the older designs where they'd do things like wearing a mask, etc. to hide all form of identity. :) (to where one wouldn't even know their name/s too--even if they knew them publically, absolutely no way of tying them together kinda thing ^^)
*nods* Peacemakers aren't exactly assassins anymore - they started off as secretive, unscrupulous assassins, but later legitimized themselves into a more versatile and "society-friendly" order :b I agree with your critique - if I were doing an actual ninja/assassin class, I'd like to a full or at least partial mask, for sure! In this fellow's case, I was more trying to balance looking like a presentable organization - well-dressed, nice quality gear - and someone who can actually get the job done and isn't shiny-perfect-looking - practical access to equipment, leather clothing to balance protection with speed/flexibility, some weathering/staining on his cloak, etc.
I really do appreciate the comment, though :) I usually strongly favour practical costume design, but I need to balance practical aspects with the desired fantasy aesthetics of the project, and also consider the conceptual aspects and ensure the design suits the concept properly - it's sort of interesting! For instance, for sure, assassin characters should probably be fully masked, wearing "camoflage" of some sort (whether plain-clothes disguises, outdoor-friendly gear, or dark-coloured sneaking-in-the-shadows kind of clothing) - but a lot of clients would want to be able to see their character's face, yet they want their character to feel/look like an authentic assassin. Gotta balance stuff like that :)

Heh, he -does- have a quiver, but it's strapped to the small of his back and is "capped" on either end to keep arrows from spilling out :V I believe it's similar to what some hunters use - it keeps arrows from moving around, preventing rattling so as to not spook prey, but still permits access to arrows as necessary. Still faster to just have extra arrows in hand already, though!
Hehe, thank you very much <3 I figured you'd probably be excited :b
Yeah, I believe originally they were just archers originally before they figured out a way to really give the class its own style/feel as well as versatility - they don't have to be JUST archers. I didn't like the name much to begin with, but it's sort of grown on me. It makes me think of, like... SWAT snipers. The Peacemakers are called in in special situations to MAKE PEACE (through force and precision), haha.

This is one of the classes I'd surely pick from. Unless there is a mage class where I can take control of a creature and us it as a pet. Especially the Tasazar, would love to have that as a pet in the middle of a village.
Great piece of art once again, something I'm curious about though is is the character using his teeth to help steady and aim the arrow

Oh, he's not using his teeth. Just typically you draw back to your cheek, jaw, or ear in archery, and since his mouth is open in a snarl, it sorta looks like that :V Good way to pull a tooth, actually >_O
But yeah, I often enjoy ranged classes, particularly sneaky/stealthy ranged classes. I like the idea of sneaking up on something and being able to snipe them without them seeing it coming >:) I also really enjoy real-life archery, so that can help, too.
There are actually quite a number of caster classes, but I don't think there's specifically a mind-control/charming one. I -am- pretty sure there's going to be a pet class of some sort, though?

I've been a ranged class with all the pen & paper rpg's I've done in the past. From L5R to D&D. It's what lead me to getting my own bow though mine is a compound version. I think it was curious since I draw back to my ear.
In the campaigns I've played I think I'm the opposite of you. I don't often try to be stealthy but instead I try to be as hard to hit as possible otherwise. I'd be the crazy person in the middle of everything with a bow while everyone else has swords, and hammers.

*nods* My full draw is to my ear, but if I plan to do a lot of shooting, I'll sometimes be lazy and just draw to my jaw/cheek, just foreward of my ear - having a compound bow makes holding full draw way easier o_o Although we have a compound bow, it's too big/heavy for me to draw far enough to benefit from the pulleys - I basically have to be able to draw it fully before the pulleys kick in. Then there's my husband's heavy composite recurve bow, which has a 70lb draw and no pulleys or anything whatsoever. It's a beast, and there's no way I could ever draw it x_x
*chuckles* Okay, to be fair, when I'm actually playing D&D with friends? I'm usually the healer >_> I just LIKE ranged classes, and will often opt to play them in video games, when I don't have to heal teammates to victory XD
I got to play a rogue/sniper once, though! Was a custom campaign, pretty fun, had illusion magic so I could misdirect enemies and flank by myself and stealth in the middle of combat and stuff. Was a bit OP probably, but I had to spend HP to do it, and was already pretty squishy >_> Totally worth it, though >:D

Thank you very much! To be honest, this style was a bit of an experimental one - often, I'm fairly unpainterly, doing super-shiny-smooth airbrushing with texturing on top, which can look plastic and sterile at worst. So this was an attempt to do something with the same sort of texture of painterly images, but with similar detail levels as my usual images.
Thanks! And yeah, quivers are great for when you're transporting stuff, going from one place to another, but actually having to be on the move and shooting is not really the easiest, although it can depend on the type of quiver and the way you're drawing the arrow back. I'm actually super clumsy when I'm carrying all my archery stuff, so I appreciate what dealing with all that "stuff" can feel like XD
Thanks! Although I think the class you're looking for is the dandy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18453017/
