There is a book out there called "The Book of Jack" in which a young boy is made to enter an old mansion and bring something back in order to prove he's not afraid and can join a club or gang of some kind. He ends up bringing out a book, which only one person in the group can read (the only girl, that is) and they discover it is the boy's book and anything he has done or is doing becomes a part of the book. The leader of the gang who wants the girl learns of this and finds someone who can write in the book to change Jack. Jack ends up being changed into a canineish monster (and interesting that after fighting with a couple of dogs he ends up totally naked, and you even see he has a butthole). Jack convinces the boy to write that he is no longer a monster and after a while he discovers it works and he is a boy again. Jack and the girl return the book to the house. So similar to what you have done here. The book also inspired me to write similar things.
