Friend lent me his car for a DWYB day (Drift what you brung) after my car wasn't ready for another round. But after only a few minutes of getting used to the handling, I was drifting it up a storm in his car.
It suprises me how adaptable my driving style is between RWD cars :o

Nice work, it's not easy to get a good drift from a Miata. Mine always wants to snap into a proper line, so gotta watch for over correcting. Of course I also use rather grippy tires, so that could have alot to do with it.
Also, I'm thinking the Miata should be the official car of FA, I've seen more of them in photos here than any other car.

This one sports a full rebush with polyuthene and Driftworks coilover suspension, I helped out with a few jobs here and there on it and doing 1st gear stuff isn't too hard.
It's the higher speed drifts that this car's a real hard one to work, the torsen diff makes for snappy oversteer at high speed and makes it difficult to catch and hold.

Ahh The Miata such a fun car. would you happen to know, is it the stock motor or did your friend do the rotary swap? Anyways drifting is fun as hell, there is a canyon that I used to take to work everyday and I got pretty good at driftin my truck, though would be more fun if the thing had power steering ^-^
1.8 stock engine with a induction kit, MX5 parts decat pipe and exhaust.
That's about it for engine mods, the suspension though is the peach of this car. with Driftworks Control system Coilovers, powerflex bushes thoughout and dift bushes having lockout donuts installed.
It's so easy to hold in a slide at lower speed, but anything more than 2nd gear and it's unstable and tends to spin

It's not all about power :P
IF the car's too short a wheelbase, it's unstable naturally, makes for a more manoverable car.
The downside of this is when drifting, it's a lot harder to have a controlled drift than something say like a Mustang / BMW / 200SX. These handle drifts better since they're longer wheelbased cars, making them more stable in a slide :P
