Name: Common Cave-Shrieker
AKA: Shadow-Shriekers, Quake-Monkeys, Scream-Rats

Diet: Small rodents, amphibians, insects, arachnids, birds, reptiles, fish-basically anything alive that they can get their tiny little hands on

Habitat: Caves, sewers, dense jungles, mountain tundra, or anywhere else that's dark or subterranean that they have been introduced; in homes if tamed (Feel free to make up your own variants+subspecies!)

Other: The Common Cave-Shrieker, as its name implies, is both extremely common, and screams when a threat comes within its territory. It has an average height of 1-2 ft, and is considered a pest by most other Stardragon species other than by many Starcrafters, whom tame them as a means of a natural alarm system against incoming danger(Wise Cave-Shrieker owners often keep earplugs in tow and immediately shove them in their ears should their Shrieker's warning barks begin). Their loud screams are especially potent within their cave-homes compared to their other, non-cave dwelling relatives.The screams emitted from the cave-dwelling species has the potential to knock out anyone unfortunate to not have earplugs and destroy their eardrums, rendering them permanently deaf.

-The bioluminescent 'flower' bud at the end of their tails is used to draw away any threat that may be unaffected by their screams. It may also be used to attract prey and to help young separated from their mothers to find them again.

-Rumor has it that the force of a Cave-Shrieker's scream at the right pitch in the right conditions can make one's head explode from the sheer vibration of the sound waves produced.

-Some other Stardragon races may find the Cave-shrieker to be visually 'charming'(For some reason…), and so many just keep them as annoying, scream-yappity, lap-pets.
