So I stocked up.
Da kindly sent me four Chinese 5670, and four NOS GE (US made!) tubes.
I went on ebay and found a plethora of NOS GE military tubes (1988 vintage...) and so I bought a few... Six. They weren't that much, I think the whole order was around $30. But US made NOS tubes, (NOS means New Old Stock. Brand new in box...) are hard to find. So I stocked up because I like the little preamp.

The Soviet 6Н3П is a direct drop-in for the 5670. There are still HUGE surplus stocks sitting around in warehouses so even the special quality versions, 6Н3П-Е and 6Н3П-ДР, go for less $2 each if you know who to ask.
They're not quite as good as some of the premium US JAN ones, but they're very close and a big step up from the Chinese ones and civilian 2C51s.
Something to keep in mind if the supply of JAN 5670s ever dries up!
