You would actually be surprised how many people use statuses for other reasons than their intent. Mine's close to the mark, but I still take liberties with the Busy status in particular. There are some however, that don't even change status or even sign out, so for people with that mentality, this is sadly needed. Love it or hate it.
I usually just leave it on online as I don't really have enough people on there.Though I can certainly understand you being a bit busy on there if you have alot of contacts. Funny thing is that I don't chat that often as I usually feel that they probably are busy with aomething anyways.
For me, Skype is an address book in the same way my phone contacts are, so I have to keep it moderately sized if I need to reach somebody for something important; friends, some family, loved ones, even artists who prefer to work through that medium. I don't add people willy-nilly that's for sure, and there really only are maybe a dozen people who contact me regularly, so it isn't that busy, it's just my work hours that are XD
I wouldn't say I am hard to talk to, depending on what format you wanted to use. However, I do juggle work, a relationship, local social events (when possible) with an online presence, and online usually takes the most sacrifices to allow more time for the other three.
