Phires are the spirits of dead fires (aka fire that have been extinguished/gone out). The name comes from the words "phantom" and "fire". Every time a fire dies, a phire is created. The way in which a fire is extinguished determines the type of phire that will be born. Common phires are the result of fires extinguished by wind or air. Many different situations can determine a phire's coloring. Darkphires are born of nefarious circumstances. This one, for example, is the result of a fire extinguished by blood.
This particular type of wisphire is called a darkspire. They can have horns and spikes and usually have some black fur.
