This pic actually has a bit of a story behind it in that I regard it as a turning point for what I was doing with my art--not the quality of my art, but what I was doing and how I went about it.
See, originally, back when SheezyArt was still around, I posted this picture. I got some general feedback about it, but the comment that stood out to me the most was one that pointed out an anatomical problem they had with the piece regarding the character's head (I think they said the head was too big?).
Anyways, I'll fully admit that I was NOT good at taking criticism or critique of any sort back then. So of course I tried to shake it off with excuses. I countered that critique in saying that I actually thought the exact opposite about the piece--don't ask me where that logic comes from, I have no clue.
The critic and I went back and forth in a conversation about this over a period of maybe 10 days, with one or two comments posted each day. Eventually I forgot what it was they were originally critiquing and ending up circling right back around and accidentally agreeing with them. They pointed that out and, upon realizing this, I kinda just sat back in my chair and went "....huh."
To this day I still view this as a turning point for how I go about art because it was at that moment that I realized I really wasn't good at taking critique and I probably should aspire to get better at that if I ever wanted my art to improve.
Dunno... Just kinda thought that was an interesting little thing...
