This is one of 13 small paintings inside the large painting I've been working with on and off for a year or more, yes you heard me, Don't worry they aren't that big, its harder to paint something large, then it is something small, although a couple of them did make me think, but most of them are amateur paintings, or primitive in idea and creativity. Still the ink or idea for this has been sitting around for about 3 years or more, I drew the sketch for it during an OC Session long ago with Zerowolf, I saw it laying around and revamped, scrapped most of it. It was suppose to be something my character had visited to before, which was a perfect chance to bring it back to life. I was just going to delete it.
Don't misunderstand, I've not been working on it every day for a year, I work on it off in small bits now and then over the period of a year, this one is cut off on the side of he painting, so that you don't see much of it.
Why would I paint something only to have cut off most of it, well, attention to detail would be an understatement, I need it there cause I know its there, or I want it to be, but most of these small paintings I will most likely size up and repaint later so that you can get a better look at them.
Still, This room that these are in, is my room, Katrkoriza's room, it must look like it must look, if I were in this room I would want it to be filled with the work I had did, was doing, or not doing, failed to do, destroyed gave up on.
It won't be perfect, I can't add every single thing a primitive artist would have in his work room, made from scratch on his own, but I have tried.
I'd also like to mention that the places Katrkoriza does paint inside of his room are place's he has seen himself at one point or another.
I also Realize that the contrast of this image may be too bright or too dark, adjust at your own likes. I have a HDLCD, But It's over contrasted, I have a CRT, That I have duel Screened onto my PC, But its a very dark screen, So I have no real middle ground in which to figure out if these are too bright or too dark, I've done my best to adjust it to CRT's Though as those are still common. Also note that you may see things in the background like distortion of color that I can't see, these things I can not control and only do my best to paint as my screen view allows. OH and one more thing the perspective is wonky and well I never got around to trying things like this, so there's bound to be mistakes which I can care less about at this moment, I'd have to actually sit down and study landscaping and odd perspectives a lot more to make something really worthwhile.
And Yes, I am not dead, I burnt out a year ago when trying to do the painting that this little one is inside, and because of depression.

Yeah, I may have to up the Levels on it another 10 points or so. Try turning your contrast up a bit if its way too dark. Try saving it to your desktop, then use windows picture viewer, and hit the little canvas icon so it surrounds the picture with black, So there isn't any bright interference around the image. It should jump out at you then, or be a bit more viewable.
One day, I will get a mac, and use it for all my digital work as their screens are supposedly GREAT. It would be nice to not have to worry about bright/contrast problems, either that.. or blow 2000 bucks on a professional screen, or go buy a wacom tablet screen, hehehe.
Sometimes I wish Fa, had a Dark Theme, so that we would choose to surround the images with black or something.

It does have a dark theme. :3 You have to find it in your settings though. (either Site settings or account settings.) I keep it light cause it makes me happy ^^;
And yeah, I would kill for a graphics optimized screen :D Or a Wacom Tablet screen, those things are KILLER

Well, on the bright side, if you get a new screen on it, you wont have that problem anymore! Although next time, try checking your color tempature setting of your screen, course, I'm not sure how to do that on laptop screens.
-=O_o=-.
Thanks a bunch -=^_^=- I am somewhat content with it, although I wanna size it up later and repaint on it a little so I can put it out as a print. I feel like messing with the clouds, but I'd just screw them up. The little buggers, those clouds, I don't know why they still elude me in their making..

I don't know...
I've beaten and bashed and clawed at that painting so many times.
I'm not sure if I just broke down somewhere and didn't notice.
When I didn't finish it I really didn't continue to do anything else,
During the time I made this, it was another battle with it, I lost that one too.
I haven't worked on it again for awhile.
Because I ran into another wall in it.
Perfection.
No I just have other feelings mixed with it.
Doesn't let me let it go so easily.
It was suppose to prove something.
Unfortunately it proved.
How Frustrated I was.
I knew nothing.
It was flawed.
A
Beautiful
flaw.
Mistakes.
I will continue the fight,
with it later.
When it doesn't destroy me.
