I've made these before; I'm just showing off. The left over mix was used up with a lot of eggs, some added tomato and herbs to make a very tasty quiche. (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16251236/)
The recipe for the previous batch is here - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5638023/
Spinach Cheese Pastry Triangles
Ingredients
500g mixed grated cheese (I used mozzarella and tasty)
Silver beet or Spinach (Cooked, Squeezed and Shredded)
Sweet Chilli Sauce
BBQ Sauce
Fruit Chutney (I used nectarine chutney)
Salt and Pepper to Taste
6-12 sheets of Frozen Puff Pastry
1 beaten egg
Method
1. Having cooked and squeezed out your spinach allow it to cool. Put the spinach in a large bowl and use kitchen scissors to shred it. Add the grated cheese, sauces, chutney, salt and pepper and gently mix.
2. Take one square sheet of puff pastry. Cut the pastry in half giving you two rectangles
3. Carefully place two tablespoons of spinach mix in a triangle at one end leaving room for the edges
4. Fold a flap of the puff pastry over to make a triangle
5. Fold this up
6. Then fold the last flap back to finish the triangle; one side is left slightly open
7. Lay the pastry on the tray and use a fork to press the open side down, use a little water on the open edges if the pastry isn’t sticking. Put a hole in the top of the pastry to allow steam to escape.
8. Coat the top of the pastry in an egg wash
9. Sprinkle with a very small amount of salt flakes, poppy or sesame seeds and Bake at 200º C for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown
NB: Please note that the filling will sometimes spill out and is considerably hot so be careful.
