Original photo taken by my mum! :P
I checked the rules, and I'm thinking this falls under 'things made for you' - almost? :P So I think it's all right to post? I've seen people post photos of themselves here anyway.
That's me (please ignore the horrific chairseat. My stirrups are a hole too short ... and I'm just crap XD) on Comet, aka Eastfield Joseph, owned by Waldburg Shires, at the East of England Autumn Show yesterday. The lady in the background with the top hat is Comet's owner - she won the class with Macey! Yay!! :D

honestly its not often you see big horses ridden. as many ppl are like "yay big horse to pull my plow or move tree limbs bla bla" i recall riding a clydesdale for 5 minutes once long ago it was very lovely not to mention a young filly at seaworld anneheisuer ubsch gardens (sp) nipping me on the shoulder when i stopped giivng her attentions -random ramble- hehe anyways very lovely you look good up there -- although a blue saddle pad woulda been better insted of red i think lol very lovely shot your mom has a nice eye as do you
Yehh, it's getting more popular on the circuit though - when it first started, most of the horses were like ours: they had their regular job under harness, but were able to turn a hoof to riding just for a bit of fun. Now though, most of the competitors have their Shires solely as riding horses.
Yeh, red and blue are the Waldburg colours, but Macey had the blue nummnah on! Hehe. :)

Just called a ridden class, lol - we don't have different types as it's still not as popular here in Britain as it is in Germany, but it's getting there. This particular class was being judged on the horse's obedience to the rider, so no wonder we didn't do so well when Comet refused to canter for me. XD
Oh I know, I'm the same! I get on a normal horse and it feels like I'm sitting on a toastrack, lol!
