Nice. that is some neat armor. Can you tell us about it?

The armor worn by the Night Ponys is the traditional attire for any official military and or supported branch of the armed forces/guards. The armor itself (given class type modifications) is comprised of two sets: a skin suit, and plating. The skin suit serves both as a comfort and low-grade protection. It is also stereotypical worn by the stealth units. The armor itself is moderately well absorptive against magical attacks and mid-tier against blunt and pierce damage. The skin suit adds a second layer of pierce protection with its magically weaved fibers. Its colouration is a product of the metal, not the coating or painting of the metal. This property is what gives it its absorptive nature to magic - darkness is consuming. Battle worn gear exhibiting magical degradation can easily be seen due to the brightening of the metal, completely used gear will be white - and dangerous to the wearer. Further magical damage will result in a violent explosion. Magic is some what distributive through out the metal, so pin-pointing weak zones is impractical.

This colouration was also employed to their tactics, attacking during the night. Major conflicts in normal hours could not be avoided but the occasional skirmish usually resulted in the night time hours.

Wow, I had no idea so much thought went into that. An different armors catered to the unique races of ponies.

Makes me think of the kinda earthlike unicorn armor Sombra may of had, since hes canonically a different race of pony.
That aside, I found this armor information very interesting. Worth referencing.
