Prizes for the 08 Halloween Fanart contest! Not for sale in the site store, these are exclusively available through copmetition. Especially because it too longer than I expected to make them. The beads are handcrafted from clay, and then painted with a variety of acryllic paints, metallic colors, and sparkly sorts of nail polish... Basically a shallow excuse to bust out the shiny.
The different kinds of bead represent different award categories - Funniest entries, Creepiest, Best Costume, and Best Art.
Caution: Best if looked at in candlelight.
More info and rules for the event are on the web-page;

Hm. I don't even have to pick up Vol. 2 to remember:
Orange -- Jester Beads
Pink/Scarlet -- Venus Beads
Indigo -- Mystic Beads
Green -- Bravado Beads
...
Please, don't be impressed by that -- I feel pity for myself for having such skewed priorities that I can't remember to get clothes out for school the night before, while I can remember the four official main colors for Harvest Festival Beads.
...Priorities be damned, DreamKeepers is always a top priority!! ("[Insert phrase] be damned!!" I'm getting mighty~ attached to sayin' that. XP)
Anyways, just one question...Purple. In Anduruna, might those be awarded for a skillfully startling or frightening display...? Hm.
And the Scarlet Venus Beads were based at least partly on the glory that are Mardi Gras Beads, right? It just seems too coincidental...
...
Were you inspired, perhaps, after going with Liz to Mardi Gras? >83 If you did, fess up! Share the juicy details! And if so, did Liz get any beads for anything...?
Yes, I know what I just said, and who I said it about.
I am also fully aware that I could have very well bumped the Danger Awareness Level from Orange to Red, and possibly invented a new level. I'd call that level something like 'Bury Yourself With A Tube For Breathing' or 'Wherever You Are, Put On A Damn Helmet'. I am also ready to assume the 'Kiss Your Ass Goodbye' position.
...
Anyways. Sparkly~! O3O

'be damnded' is not a bad erstwhile phrase to adopt, it's got fun and kick to it. 8 )
Let's see... The colors for the beads in Anduruna kinda got a little lost when I made the Halloween beads, I wandered off and just used whatever colors I thought would look good.
But, I like the idea of awarding beads for scaring the bejesus out of people, that would be fun! And Mardi-Gras was definitely a source of inspiration for the beads, and the overall celebration - we kinda decided to combine mardi-gras and Halloween, and see what would happen.
Heh, Liz and I have never been to Mardi-Gras before, we don't have much of a travel budget as of yet... Although that would be fun sometime.
As for danger levels, I'm pretty easy going most of the time, you've nothing to fear. Liz is more the fiery one - we balance each other out. She decides on whom wrath must be unleashed, and then I make sure it's done in a calculated, circumspect manner. E )

...Eh, I'll take a page from Grunn's book and walk around with a pot on top of my head as a helmet.
Seriously, did he actually think that would protect him from a creature that can get that kind of response out of Scinter of all people OR the arsenal of two Anduruna Shock Trooper squads?
I guess there are some heavy drinkers who don't turn stupid when they're drunk, they're just stupid like that naturally. XD
