Just a soppy love story I conjured up late one night. I'd love to continue this - there certainly is a story to be told here of love, loss and anger. Cliche, but true.

There upon the apex of the hill, below the ever-growing tree – we sat.
A soft breeze licking away at our bodies, a comforting, sterile chill.
Not a single cloud in the sky, the stars beaming their billions of years of light, filling the sky with tiny twinkles of a foreign place. A world beyond our own, with many upon many adventures to be had.
But not in our lifetime, just a dream for now. A small lapse at the future.
He was pointing out the constellations, naming them perfectly, drawing little figures of lions and fish as I watched with content. With every star, a story was told. A name given to each – just like every person in our world. Billions and billions, individuals whom may never meet one another, but together, a mass of stories. My thoughts were beginning to escape as night became more apparent, as the time grew longer and longer for how long we had been gazing at the wonders of the universe.
His soft hand brushed against my thigh – I was a little startled as my semi-consciousness evaded. Turning over, I looked into his eyes. The dark, dark gaze he cast upon me was a pure thing of beauty. His face, soft, yet chiseled. Hard, yet kind.
“I think we should go home now. It’s getting a bit too late even for me.”
Even the movement of his lips brought me joy. He was truly the one for me. The beautiful man I would have forever and ever.
I slowly nodded and smiled, a flurry of warmth rushed through my body as he held onto me, pulling me up and softly holding me against him. His body was so warm, so soft, and so tender.
I never wanted to leave him. He was my protector, my everything.
As he set my feet down slowly, I stumbled a little – grasping my arm, he giggled softly and held onto me as we walked back to the car. I hopped in the passenger seat, and he jumped around and started the car. A firm roar of the engine filled the night’s silence, and we were off.
As he drove along the road, each bump cradled me to sleep. I felt his hand grasp mine, closing gently along my paw. Eyes closed, music soft, and I was gone for the night.
I looked over at him one last time, smiling and finally falling to sleep.
Pure ecstasy.
