The pauldrons, arms and gauntlets are finsihed and fits great. But before we finsih the torso, a last check, that everything works like it should, but you can see everything is perfect.

A modern soldier is expected to carry about 150 pounds on his back in battle.
A full suit of plate harness can vary by era, but is around 45 to 80 pounds, and the weight is spread across the entire body evenly.

Yes it's absolutely correct but the second and third videos are the best, because it's importat too that the armour fitts well on your body, but i'm sure that's nothing new for you^^ The parts shown in the picture weights just a bit more than 28pounds. But a mail "top" follows to protect the gabs. so i would say the whole (with legs, mail and armet) armour will weight around 45-50 pounds.
Oh, yes.
I've worn well designed armor, and poorly designed.....
Making and wearing armor is a constant learning process.
As is the upkeep and maintanance.
Mail, or maille as the Armour archive folks usually spell it, is heavier than plate; though it does tend to give better freedom of movement.
I think the most comfortable harness I ever tried on was a set of lamellar of somewhat questionable historical accuracy- But damn, did it feel good when I had it on.

Yep.
Especially when you learn the trick of putting on a belt around your hips, then take a big double handful of maille and pull it up so that it drapes over the belt.
Takes much of the weight off your shoulders, and gives lovely freedom of movement.
At some point, I need to upgrade to a haubergeon of riveted maille to replace my butted stuff.

I just use rivited maille. just butted rings arent tough enough. and i prefer the "roman" maille, yes today they call it roman maille, but in fact it was used first by the celts and passed the periods till the 16 century without changes in the contruction. The thing ist, that this are made by small rings, on row rivited and one rov cut rings, that makes it very lingt and strong. My coat of maille weights just around 10 pound^^ http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13449114/
The red thing under the armour is an arming doublet, otherwise i could'nt fix the arms and pauldons, they are knotet to the doublet. I use this one: http://historicenterprises.com/inde.....roducts_id=713
When you habe a good armour, which fits perfect on you body, you don't need a thick padded doublet, not for armous after 1440, earlyer types, you need more padding.
