And don't think of having to do multiple sketches as a bad thing. Every artist I know does this, as the first idea that comes to mind on how a picture should look, is rarely the one they like the best. But until you see that idea down on paper, it's often difficult to know if it's right or not.

How we visualize something in our mind, and how it actually looks on paper are quite different things for most people, so scrapping one idea and doing another is nothing you should feel that you alone suffer through.
