I got the idea for this at work a couple days ago. Originally I just wanted to draw Rene getting smacked backwards by something, but it turned into this in the end. I was thinking to myself that we really don't see many dynamic or motion filled inflation things around these days, so much of it is static. I thought if I could capture the idea of movement in a single image that would be neat, kind of break stuff up, and give me a chance to experiment some.
But I kind of went a bit further and I decided to really go for the extra movement by making a short sequence. I had some trouble with the second image, and I redrew it a few times. I did ask some people for help for ideas with it, namely Twirltail and Commissar, and I am glad I did. Their advice went a long way here, and both of them studied animation as well, they know their stuff.
Also, took an opportunity to practice some more painting. I am not sure if I am super happy with it, but it was worth the attempt at the very least.
This took way longer to make than I expected.

Oh wow, I'm really glad you did this! You're right, there is a lack of dynamic action in expansion work, something I should also try and remedy sometime. You did a great job here, this gave me a giggle, and looks fun, to boot! It is fun to think of how a body bloomphed so big would react to stimuli and physics :o
