Hello! ^^
I was checking out Tegaki-E's new opacity feature and decided to make a drawing of Garr, from Breath of Fire III. I've been playing it on my newest super awesome "Metallic Blue" PSP and I'm totally loving it. The big problem about it is the big difference between the real concept of the characters and their respective sprites. They look so bad. ;_;

Downfall? You mean BOF 5? That one sucks hard indeed. I have a special love for BoF 4 and Nina4 is so gentle and kind and... ^///////^ eheheh..
It's pretty hard to choose who we are going to choose in the party. Everyone is so awesome(except Peco o_o). =3 Ryu, Rei and Momo will probably be my definitive party in the end of the game.

Love it! Garr never leaves my party in BoF III. He's a pure staple for me.
You know what's weird though? I have never seen fanart of Tiga from BoF II. The Waren male tiger who leads the resistance. He may have had a small role, but he was a pretty cool character. He's overlooked a lot.

I don't mean about details, but about the big differences in the design. Actually. they used the old concept art to make the sprites. After all was done, the character designer came up with a new art style and changes in the concept art of the characters. That's what happened. ^^

Wow. I haven't heard anything about Breath of Fire III in ages. That was an awesome game. though I never got to the end. I could never get through that cursed desert. T.T
And I won't say anything about why I don't like Garr, in case you haven't reached the point in the game... *cough*

Someone not many know about the game, that I learned from research, as I have actually talked to one of the people on the american side from capcom that was involved with this game back in the day...
The game was made on old (to us, now) Power macs, hence why the sprites look better than most did in that era. And the proof is in the game. When you go to Steel Beach on the Lost Shore, take a moment and study the junk piles. The modeled some of the things in those piles from things they had around them at the time; IE, Radios, Microwaves, the computer tower in front of them, and other misc. things.
At Steel beach, when you see one of the little computer towers in the trash pile (They're kind of off-white), look near the bottom of the machines, and you'll see part of apples old rainbow logo.

It is, my all time favorite game. Actually I'm based off what Garr is. I just have no arts of it, since I'm kinda poor, and my car likes to break and eat in to my funds, but yeah. I just like the Hyena, makes a good icon, would like to use this pic as an icon, but that doesn't feel right for some reason since it's yours XD
