When Taichi transforms into Sunstar, he gains a variety of fire-based attacks. Such attacks as the Blazing Wolf Wave or the Rising Wolf Flameare fairly potent, but one of his more powerful and focused attacks is the Rending Fire Claw, This move imbues fire magic directly into Sunstar's fingertips, causing any clawing attack he makes for a short time into a very potent fire-elemental melee attack. The claws have been shown to be able to cleave through solid stone due to the intense heat of the flames generated by the attack. Sunstar favors this attack as a finishing move to destroy the Core Crystals of his Seima opponents.
