Yes, more art of my Dungeons and Dragons (Pathfinder) girl, Rebalyn. As she gets closer to level 20 (currently level 16), it is becoming more evident that she is going to be a minor (possibly major) spirit/goddess. As of right now she is known as the "Spirit of Hope". She also has several other titles as well, including the mythic hero "Giggor" who shows up when he is needed (Giggor is the title given to the wielder of the sword known by the same name) and Dragonslayer (a title earned by slaying many dragons in defense of the people).
While she typically holds her typical appearance because she is a natural shifter (due to being a succubus), this is what I imagined her final form to be once she finally reaches full spirit/godhood. As of right now she has leather demon wings, a single tail with a split in it, hair just beginning to slide onto her tail, and her horns are yet to join with the loop in the center (they are slowly growing towards each other).
So in her final form as seen here, her tail fully splits to become two separate tails, the horns join to make a loop, and her wings disappear, lending the image that she can fly perfectly without them. She keeps her burning halo which she has had for awhile now, given to her by Asteroth, as a worthy individual. Her hair becomes etremely long and blows in an unseen wind. Due to her succubus nature, her hair functions as a tease. It will always cover her naughty bits but it will flow leaving people wondering if they just saw a peek of her or not.
She is not to this point in the game yet. I just like to sit and dream about what may be for my characters. And I couldn't let this design slip from my mind. The image really popped into my mind around level 10 when I found out that she was slowly developing into a spirit/god and I just had to get it down and drawn. This is actually the second sketch I did of her. The first one was in a similar pose but I wasn't liking how the body shape looked. And this is what came up after I waited a few months.
Plan for more pictures of her at some point. I love drawing her because the possibilities are endless. She can walk in dreams and shifts her form to fit in those dreams, so if a dream form inspires me like Doe Demon Rebalyn or like the time she was the genie of the ring, I will probably draw it. I still need to finish the reference sheet of what she currently looks like. But I really haven't since she tends to cling to what she used to look like with her shifting ability.

These latest drawings of Rebalyn have really been excellent. I hope you continue this steam for a while.
Though I don't think ever giving an explict final form to a personal character is something I'd ever recommend. It's just too much of an "end". Though it's pretty cool to see characters progress!

It isn't really an 'end' though. I just figured this would be what she will look like once she is fully developed into her spirit/godhood. If anything I consider this the 'breaks'. Because too often, when I have seen people "evolving" their characters, it becomes a grouping of 7+ wings, hair on fire, all colors of the rainbow, etc, etc, to continue to top the previous forms. In this case she is just fitting into the form that her followers see her as. It doesn't mean an end to the character herself, just a point at which she can comfortably settle into as she starts her new adventures, protecting the world.
Not to mention, since she is a natural shape shifter she can always change her appearance to whatever she likes. This will just eventually be the form she reverts to if she is ever knocked unconscious.

So I guess no Super Sayian 4 for her? lol. Yeah, I've seen those characters you're talking about.
I guess that's a consideration I never see with shapeshifters, what does the unconscious/dead form look like? It's food for thought, though it's a bit morbid. I do feel that it is an overlooked facet. Then again, when people have shapeshifters, they are usually extremely powerful and thus have little chance of dying through the course of a story. I dislike such untouchable characters.

That is exactly what my mate and I were comparing it to. We call it the DBZ effect where the characters keep having to amp up to best one another. And it gets boring fairly fast in my opinion. And the characters just end up looking weird... Or stupid...
Funny enough, Rebalyn dies fairly often. She just comes back after three days due to being the wielder of Giggor, the death blade. She is one of those people to throw herself in front of others to protect them. But recently my hubby has upped the anti by adding in monsters that can rend her soul. No soul, nothing to come back with, meaning no res after 3 days.
But that is the nice thing about D&D, they lay out what shifters look like when they are unconscious. And it isn't only when they are dead. It is when they can no longer conciously think on their form. Hence why they would revert to it when unconscious.
While Rebalyn is reaching that stage of being untouchable because she is level 16, it is really which ever character can strike first. Because a monster can take her down with one powerful spell at this point and she can take them down with one powerful spell at this point. But we try to focus on the RP aspect more than the fighting and killing. At this point she has been trying to resolve problems through conversation rather than conflict.

Half of the D&D mechanics you mentioned in that post went over my head xD. Well atleast she's not unstoppable. Though you only mention a response to magical damage, does that mean she's immune to physical damage? Or nobody in that RP bothers swinging their fist because much too civilized for clubs?
