49 submissions
When Raven and the gang eventually get to the rebellion, a whole mess of characters will be introduced that will stay throughout the course of the series. This specific submission is about one of many rebellion elitists that will be introduced, though she won't be one of the more important characters like Sable, who made an appearance in this segment.
Sable will be one of the Elitists that will train Raven in the rebellion, I might create a profile for him as well as a few of the other elitists. Depends if I can come up with an exciting back story like Feralda's. He is a Waterwolf and a weapons master.
I am quite satisfied with this submission, and I hope it will give you some insight with what's in store for future chapters. This part might even be a piece taken out of the first book - but that is for me to know hehe.
Anyway, enjoy reading this and any feedback is welcome.
Elite: Lady Feralda
Whisper and Sable walked through the camp when an early thirties looking female wolf walked past them, Whisper noticed Sable nodded politely at the gray scarf wearing wolf who walked with her head held high.
“Hello” Whisper smiled.
The female wolf looked her in the eyes for a second and nodded ever so slightly but she didn’t greet back, Whisper immediately felt like she has been looked down upon. They walked their opposite direction when Whisper said annoyed, “She’s too good to greet me back?”
“That is lady Feralda, she is mute” he said.
“Oh, I see… A lady eh? She sure looks like one”
“She wears scarves around her neck because she had her throat slit before she could say ‘I do’, then she was thrown to the rats to die but somehow she survived, with only a deep scar and a stolen voice” Sable explained.
Lady Feralda comes from a kingdom that exists of a series of islands next to Azueroth (the wind kingdom). It was a very wealthy kingdom with rich trading routes and diamond rich soil. The King had trouble conceiving children after Feralda was born, so in order for their legacy to be carried on she had to marry. That is when the king of Azueroth swooped in and made a preposition for the two kingdoms to finally join, by marriage. The king’s brother, Orion, who just entered manhood, was to marry Feralda who would then be queen at the age of 16 with her new betrothed. But what Feralda and her father didn’t know was that the wind King and his brother Orion were planning – their mistake was letting their guards down and welcoming Azueroth onto their land to show their trust. On the day of the wedding that should have been the most memorable day in the history of the island kingdom, turned into the saddest: Before Feralda could utter the words ‘I do’ her throat was slit by Orion with a point blank wind blade, and that set off the assault by Azueroth, the battle was short and the death toll was immense. Every wolf that opposed them was murdered – within a few days the kingdom became just another part of Azueroth .
As Feralda was bleeding out on the white floors of the hall, she was picked up and tossed outside where her body could be seen. After the battle she was tossed in the garbage to be consumed by rats – but somehow she wasn’t dead. She crept away and recovered in a secret cave for a few years where she always used to play in with one of her maids. When she was fit enough to travel she sailed to the Kingdom of Aria with a makeshift boat. In the midst of the many storms she encountered to whom she nearly lost her life to many times, her spirit awakened and she wielded the winds in her favor. She barely made it there alive and when she did she realized that the Kingdom of Aria had also fallen prey to the kingdom of Azueroth.
“She is like Raven then, a royal heir that survived impossible odds. But in this country she is nothing but a mere foreigner, why is she known as ‘lady’ Feralda?” Whisper asked.
Sable smiled at her curiosity, usually when Feralda’s story is told, ears drop along with the topic. “When she found Falcon, the wound of his fallen kingdom and death of his family was still fresh. The thought of a rebellion was merely a seed”
When Feralda arrived on the shores of Aria she had to go into hiding again. The next chapter of her journey was to find Falcon, rumor of his survival lingered amongst the oppressed. Eventually she found him and hundreds of Waterwolf survivors, he heard of her arrival and made his location known. Together, with a team of elite Waterwolves, they travelled to her fallen kingdom to rescue the remnants of her people who were willing the run from the oppression and slavery. It was a hard couple of month, where she nearly broke down as she saw what has happened to her kingdom in her absence, her once beautiful kingdom that existed of a series of islands were destroyed in the process of mining for diamonds and other minerals – with the emotional distress, she unlocked a power she never knew existed within herself, and she became an Elitist.
“Wait, hold on... She’s an Elitist? Like you, and TS? Fell and River?..”
“You and Raven, that Arturo fella’, you’ve met quite a few” Sable interrupted.
“I don’t know about myself, but Elitist are powerful individuals, wolves blessed with unique abilities within their element”
“That is correct”
“So Lady Feralda is powerful? But she looks so... so prim and proper” Whisper tried to wrap her mind around it.
“She isn’t much of a fighter, but her wind dance ability is something to be feared. You will see it once we go into battle. The ability is as swift and silent as she is, and equally as beautiful”
Their journey was a success just as much as it was a failure. Her Kingdom was no more, but the populace were still there, the love the citizens had for their King were still intact and when word spread of her survival the wolves rejoiced. Many had died in the years of her absents under the rule of Azueroth , and more died when they tried to flee the Kingdom to go to Aria. But when Feralda and Falcon came back, the rebellion was formed when they grew with a few thousand stronger.
“So that was the birth of the Rebellion...” Whisper stood still and looked around at the wolves going on with their lives, the lives they have no choice but the live in hiding under a river. Every single individual there has lost their homes, but the will to survive has given them the strength to create a new one.
“Quite a fair percentage of the wolves here come from her kingdom. She has a lot of influence amongst the citizens here. But she is no longer a queen, for she no longer has a kingdom”

Feralda watched her wolves walk into their new encampment under the River of Aegis, as Falcon told her it was named, and she couldn’t help but cry. She was happy that after all the suffering her wolves had to endure the last decade, they were finally safe from harm. They were wounded, dirty and hungry. They were mourning the deaths of loved ones and praying for those that were left behind – she looked down at her paws as her tears silently fell to the ground, and she realized she was just as dirty. She remembered how she was called the blossom of her kingdom, and she was always reminded on how beautiful she was, but she hasn’t felt beautiful in 12 years. 12 years of blood, starvation, suffering and death.
“We did well,” Falcon said behind her, “your wolves are in a better place now, they are safe”
She smiled.
“You are safe. And you will suffer no more”
She nodded, trying to look respectful in his presence.
“Let us get you cleaned up, you are an icon amongst everyone in the rebellion” He turned around and waited for her to follow, he turned back and smiled at here, “Come on, Lady Feralda” She stood up and shook off her tears. She followed him with her head held high and her dry neck wound exposed.
