havent been feeling rainbows and butterflies today to put it lightly, so I drew this. Maybe the reason I have trouble finding artists to draw requiem is because I view him as so deranged and angry

I'm sorry to hear that life hasn't been all up and uppity lately for you bud. But it will get better eventually. But this work is fantastic, it feels a bit deranged and angry sure, but it's beautiful. I love what you did with the colors.
I do know what you mean about artists not being able to get Requiem drawn right, maybe it comes down to the situations you want to present him in. I'd be happy to help you out, I think I know a few people who draw using emotions, not just poses.

It's because that's what they are used to doing, but they don't seem to understand that you can do things with the body more than just a simple facial expression. I remember playing Twilight Princess, where you finally confront Ganon, he stares at you and then he simple moves his head just a bit, and it's kind of scary because you can feel the power he has. There was no facial expression but indifference. I guess the problem is artists have trouble understanding that.
Well the thing is storywise that Requiem severely damaged his ability to express emotions (he tried to cut out his third eye, hence the diamond on his forehead) and he expresses all of his emotions in an off way. When he's angry his whole body relaxes but his eyes flare and are the sole point of his presence.
Requiem is ultimately supposed to depict serenity and beauty that is completely broken beneath the surface.
