So a while ago I finished the rough draft. Then realized that the large sections needed rewriting, so I just rewrote the whole thing (this took about a year). I've now finished marking edits for this rewrite and get to enter them into the computer. The edits took ~3 months to mark in (I'm sure there still needs to be 1 or 2 more passes).

"That rewrite is so much better than the previous draft I'll bet there isn't too much that needs to be changed!" --me, right before editing.
