It's basically me and my way of doing lineart - I once tried to do it cleanly and neatly, but found that incredibly bland and boring after all. It's "basic" in the way that I could finish it up with flats, shading and a few finishing touches, so it's rather the very first step of my process. And that also contains all the cool details here and there! I can also tell that no one really wants to see what I call a "sketch" - these are an ultimate mess and boil down to a gigantic clutter of lines all over my canvas, haha.
