Added a few new little things... and one big. XD
Also found a Lion King musical Trickster for $3 at Salvation Army. So YAY! I don't have any Musical stuff so it was a nice find.
Ignore the Bumblepig in the corner there....
And the empty lil shelf in the other. That fish's tank is being washed.

The big one? He is a Maquette. Designed from the same ones used by the animators for the film. There were only 500 made. He is #143 of 500. Mufasa is #25 and Simba is #3. They only ever made the three of them available for sale. Though they did make maquettes of other characters and adult Simba. But you can only see them in the Disney museums. Alas they are pretty hard to find. But I got mine off ebay. Scar is the one you see most often... but the price has jumped up ALOT since I got mine. Mufasa was the hardest and most expensive to find.
Cool shit! Do you have the Papo big cats amongst those plastic toys? I think they make the best looking big cat toys, by far. I have the Papo male lion & tiger in my locker at work (Plastic toys are great because I don't have to worry about breaking them). They are so detailed that you can even tell the difference between the male & female tigers (they are anatomically correct). Also you should look up "Disney Collector Packs series" Scar & Shere Khan on eBay. They are cute because they are so tiny. I've never seen smaller versions.
The tiniest shit! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vtg-Cracker.....item35e871b90d
And some are Papo, some are Jungle Life, and I think another brand too. Papo are the best ones... the others... don't look as good close up. But make nice filler. And I saw them They are cute. May get them later when I have more room. I know they are tiny but... think going to save up money for a bit. X3 To either buy those character model sheets or just to have some more cash in bank... we shall see.

I've seen that tiny plastic Scar pendant come up before, and thought it was really cool. I almost got it, but I don't know what I'd do with it... I'm too old to wear plastic toy jewelry. It wouldn't look cool on me, it would look ridiculous. I'm not really buying anything right now either; trying to save my money too. I'd like to save up for another gold bracelet. I bought a white gold tiger eye link bracelet a few months ago. Maybe by the end of the year I can get a gold panther link bracelet. I gotta have both chains named for big cats, right?
Luckily I am a girl. I can wear plastic jewelry and no one will say anything. XD But I think I would just put him on a lil chain and dangle him from one of my bookshelves. I like dangly things. Beads, chains, windchimes, and such. Used to have a rope of lights I really liked...but it went missing when I moved.
And oh those sound perdy. XD I personally prefer fossil jewelery. Shark teeth, shells, insects stuck in amber. Insects stuck in acrylic is good too. I'm not much of a precious metal/stones girl. I don't care if its cut glass as long as its shiny. But you are more likely to see me walking around with a bear claw on a hemp string than you would with a gold necklace.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not all about precious metal/stones either. I collected big-cat themed silver & leather jewelery for 20 yrs. I've only started adding gold to my collection over the past couple of years because the older you get the sillier you look in cheap jewelry (especially a guy), and I'm starting to get old. :-/ The only gold jewelry I've bought so far (besides small earrings) is that white gold tiger eye bracelet. I do have some inherited stuff, but that doesn't count because I didn't buy it, and it isn't anything I'd have ever chosen for myself. If I get that white gold panther chain bracelet, it'll likely be the last gold bracelet I ever buy. Then, I'll have both chains named for big cats.
By the way, did you see this?

Indeed indeed. I don't get the appeal of expensive jewelry yet. Personally I think leather jewelry looks good on everyone. Specially since you work at a zoo right? Animal themed jewelry would still work. Granted nothing plastic. But like... deer antler, carved bone, claw/teeth real or replica, or bugs in acrylic. Granted depending what you do shells and shark teeth star looking a little odd unless you live on the coast. But engraved leather is always cool.
Think you might get some Tiger Iron or Tigers Eye/Cats Eye jewelry next?
And oh no I have not. But I think I am only interested in the character sheets. Or actual cels. Autograph is nice but autographs are mostly only interesting to me if I get the autograph myself. Though I plan to buy a Shere Khan autographed by either actor eventual. Since both actors are no longer with us. Idris Alba is going to play Shere Khan in the new Disney live action one. That will be interesting.

Oh and can't forget Leopard Jasper.
Tiger Iron
Tiger's eye (comes in Arizona TE, Blue TE, Marra Mamba TE)
Cat's eye (comes in Aquamarine, Emerald, Moonstone, Quarts, Tourmaline, Actinolite, Apatite, Diaspore, Scapolite, Chrysoberyl, Sillimanite)
Leopard Jasper
Bengal Amethyst
and then there is Zebra Jasper. Not a big cat name but depending on the stone some look like white tiger striping.

Have you ever actually seen any autographed Shere Khan pics? I don't think I ever have. I would certainly buy one if I found it, though. I read somewhere that George Sanders washed his hands of the character after the movie was released, and committed suicide just a few years later, so I doubt we'll ever see anything from him. As for the artist, Milt Kahl, I would assume there must be something out there that he signed, but I've personally never seen anything come up for sale. Not sure I could afford it, if it did.
As for cat stones, I do have some of the ones you mentioned. I've had a few earrings custom made over the years, because I can't find earrings that I would wear in a retail store. I have a small white-gold stud earring of each of these- tiger's eye, emerald cat's eye (my birthstone), and cat's eye (chrysoberyl).
I also have a silver & leather bracelet that is set with a large tiger's eye stone, and a baby tooth from a Bengal tiger that I raised. And I have a silver & leather necklace made with a leopard opal and a baby tooth from a snow leopard that I have worked with for years. I also have a rope necklace & bracelet set, made of spun snow leopard fur (naturally shed), and I have a bracelet made of and woven lion's mane (naturally shed). I also have a silver & leather lion's claw necklace, made from the claw of a lion that was my namesake. Just to be clear, I would never wear hunting trophy jewelry. All the teeth, claws & fur I have came from animals that I loved and spent years working with. My jewelry might sound kind of crazy, but remember I've been working with big cats, and collecting jewelry for 20 yrs.
I would love to have a Marra Mamba tiger iron stone. Those are beautiful. I just don't know what I'd do with it...? I can't do a stud earring because it would be too small. The stone needs to be fairly large to properly show off the pattern in the rock. Tiger iron is too soft to make a good ring for me (I'd scratch it up, or break it). That only leaves a pendant... I'll be thinking about this.
Bengal amethyst is beautiful too! But "Bengal" is just a region. Bengal tigers do get their name from this region, but it's not specifically a cat name. They sure are cool stones though. I would wear a small, cabochon, Bengal amethyst, stud earring in white-gold. I'll be thinking about this too.
Leopard jasper is kinda underwhelming... Leopard opal (which I have) is much prettier for a leopard stone.
I like the zebra jasper too. I actually have a baby tooth from a zebra that I worked with years ago, just sitting in a box. It would make a great piece of jewelery if it was set with a zebra jasper stone. I don't know if I'll do it though... I just don't feel a connection with zebras like I used to.
Moonstone cat's eye is a beautiful stone too, but has a very strong feminine vibe. I think this is a good stone for you! You need a piece of moonstone cat's eye jewelery. What do you think?

Nope.... Not even Tony Jay. I found a Frollo with Tony Jay... but it looks like all their autographs are almost impossible to find. Ah well. I guess just owning a cel eventually will do.
I've seen some decent Tibetan bracelets with Tiger iron stones laid into them. All my bones are replicas. Same with my claw necklace. Insect ones have actual bugs... And around here its easy to find shed antlers before the wolves get them and chew on them. And the only animal teeth I own are shark. Which fall out naturally I assume. XD I have a fur tuft I found from a fox. Its reddish with a bit of black at the end of the hairs. I have it sitting on one of my shelves.
Always good to have something to connect you to them. And those all sound cool. I'd love a tuft or something from animals like that. I plan to buy a Lion skull eventually. But only a replica. So no real lions be hurt. I prefer replicas for bones. except the natural jewelry I get from the tribes around here. I have a few porcupine quill chokers and earrings. But most I get are just polished stone ones. I have one thats either tiger iron or bloodstone. It was so busy at that trade table that day I didn't get to ask which it was. Could only hand them the money before a larger woman got all boisterous about something. So I just moved on.
Moonstones do look rather feminine now that you mention it... you could try a Sunstone. Those are a much more masculine look. Though I notice those are more common in a star blast rather than a cats eye.

Before I worked with animals, and was able to collect fur, teeth & claws, I used to just collect silver jewelry shaped like animals, or with an animal theme. Once I started working with animals and collecting shed things, I started having jewelry made out of their fur or whatnot. Over the past several years, I've weeded out my jewelry collection. At this point I only have silver jewelry that is set with naturally shed teeth, fur & claws from animals that I know personally. Anything in my collection not made from actual animal parts must be 14k. That's why the tiger eye and panther chain bracelets have to be gold (and I prefer white gold). I actually need rules like this to keep myself from collecting so much jewelry that I could never wear it all (which I've done). Having nearly impossible standards for my collection limits how much crap I can keep. :-P
Here's a link to the guy that spun my snow leopard's fur into rope jewelry (http://wolf-of-samhain.deviantart.com/). He may have some snow leopard fur left. I told him he could have whatever was leftover. He worked at a wolf sanctuary, so his wolf fur isn't from me, just the cat stuff. I've never worked with wolves. He also sells vial pendants with fur. Check those out. Maybe you could make something like that with your fox fur? You were apparently meant to have it. I look at my animal stuff in a fatalistic way. I only make animal jewelry from stuff that I find myself. I feel like I was meant to have it, to have a stronger connection with that animal. If there is a special exotic animal that you love, I could maybe find a tuft of fur or a whisker for you. I save cat whiskers when I find them, and give them to people that really love cats. I work with 11 species of cats, and a some random non-felids.

Nice nice. And I hear ya. I actually only own maybe a few pieces of actual jewelry. Not counting costume ones. XD
(yes I like to run around as a pretty princess at the renaissance fair)
Back in Montana I would find a lot more animal things. Feathers from various birds, fur tufts from antelope, deer, elk, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, coyote, wolves, even buffalo... Sometimes teeth, antlers, hooves, even whole skeletons before too. But I never thought to actually pick any up at the time. Regret it now. I did always pick up porcupine quills though. X3 Oregon does not seem to have the same amount of wildlife. I have heard of mountain lions roaming around behind my house... yet to hear or see any in person. Skunk yes. Lots of skunks. XD And face to face with a Opossum once. I think we scared the bajeezuz out of each other in the dark. But yeah.. other than that... even seems like less birds here than my old home. Did have my tree full of baby owls once though. So cute and fluffy lil buggers. Currently have a young crow that barks at me. Doesn't caw... he barks like a little dog. He seems really curious about me and comes closer and barks whenever I cough or mimic his bark. I want to try and earn his trust so he will get closer... but grampa keeps chasing him off.
Oh nice nice. His stuff looks pretty cool. Though the fox tuft is just the perfect amount to do this to.
https://www.etsy.com/listing/185960.....w_type=gallery
But more than likely I would probably not actually wear any. I'd put any fur and what not in little apothecary bottles. XD With pictures of the animals as labels. And keep them on my currently empty little wicker shelf. I wouldn't mind a tuft from any or all your big cats. Though I would double up on some lion mane. One for to keep in a vial and another to do the tuft necklace. Would look real nice with a Cat's Eye gem bead above it. Whiskers must be hard for you to find huh? I find my Narnia's once in awhile. No fur tufts from her though. XD She grooms herself so much. What animals do you work with exactly? Must be fun.

Lol, I've never been to a renaissance fair, though there is going to be one where I live this Fall. The first one ever here. I might go... Cool fluffy necklace on Etsy! You could make something like that. And yeah, I don't find tufts of hair too much. Animals don't usually lose hair in tufts. That only happens when they fight and someone get's swatted with claws out, or the vet shaves a spot on them during a physical to draw blood. Normal shedding happens like your cat or dog. They lose the hairs one at a time and just leave hair everywhere. Sometimes longer/thicker hair gets stuck in branches, splintered wood, or wires. So I do find lion's mane stuck in wire fencing or tree branches sometimes.
I never find teeth, unless I have baby animals (which I don't have any right now). Even then it is very rare. Usually they lose teeth when they are eating, and swallow them. Whole claws are very rare too. Cat's sharpen their claws on trees/logs. The claws splinter off, and I do find claw splinters all the time. I only find whole claws from elderly cats. If a cat gets old, and starts to get arthritis in it's paws, it stops sharpening them. Then the claws get overgrown. Eventually they break off at the quick, just like when you break your nail off at the quick, and what breaks off looks like an entire animal claw, but hollow in the middle. They can be filled with resin, and made into jewelry. However, I have only found two or three claws like this in my entire career. On occasion, I will find a whisker in an animal's den. They of course are shed naturally just like hair, but they are easy to spot because they are so large. I usually find whiskers and claw pieces from any given species about once every month or two, and I usually save the whiskers and give them to people, though some people think animal whiskers are gross. Teeth and whole claws I only find two or three over the course of an animal's entire lifetime. The animal's caretakers usually keep these themselves, hence all my tooth and claw jewelry.
I work with nearly all the big cats (lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, snow leopards, cougars, cheetahs), though some whiskers are larger, therefore easier to find than others. For example, I only find cheetah & snow lep whiskers about once or twice a year, while I find tiger whiskers almost every week. I work with a couple of small cats too (caracals, ocelots, fishing cats, servals) but small cat whiskers are even harder to find (though not impossible). I work with some non-felids too like red pandas, and some other stuff. Anyway, if you have a specific animal that you really want a whisker or something from, I could probably find it, if it's something I work with.

Sorry for late reply. Work is trying to kill me and my father was visiting while my grandfather had to get a surgery. So many things going on. I can't get on FA when they are around. But anything would be delightful! X3 Love all the cats. So would love a little fur and/or whiskers from anyone/all of them. Though I love many animals. X3 So I wouldn't say no so a little zebra hair either. However, whenever I draw myself and what people usually consider me as is a Red Panda. XD
Being around all those animals sounds like so much fun. Alot of work but so much fun.

No problem. Same thing happens to me. I get busy, and sometimes only check in once a week. Hope your grandfather is okay. I cut a lock of hair off a lion for you. He's got so much hair, no one will notice. Also got a whisker (naturally shed, I didn't pull them out :-P) from each of the 4 big cat species (cats in the Panthera family); lion, tiger, leopard & jaguar. Can't get zebra hair. I'm not around them anymore. I do work with red pandas, but they're finished shedding their winter coats now. Red panda fur is something I really can only get in the Spring. And red panda whiskers are so small, I don't think I've ever found one... Did I forget anything? Do you want me to send you what I got? You can give me your address in a private message if you want.
