I see you're eating the last donut.... *ZZZZAAAP*
I'm done, finally! Second assignment for my digital illustration class. Meet Hugo, Kinsey's best friend and the engineer of the PAC implants. He's a bit of a mad scientist, young but brilliant, and totally distracted unless the project he's working on is something really special. I suppose that's why they become friends in the first place. Kinsey is practically a living science project for Hugo, who is constantly coming up with ways to use her powers, and ways to better her PAC spinal implants. And in turn, Hugo's tolerant and outgoing personality disarm's Kinsey's temper and lets her open up a little.
I'm pleased with how I'm learning to color digitally, and a style is starting to emerge for me. This still took WAY longer than I wanted it to, but it was a learning project so that doesn't matter much. I wasn't totally into the subject matter, I wanted a more interested interaction between Spark and Hugo. But I struggled to start the illustration, so I just went with the first drawing that started to look good to me. This establishes more of their day-to-day interactions rather than the special situations that super heroes and mad scientists might encounter together. XD But that will come in the next illustration I hope!

MAd scientist suffer from an accute case of ADHD...
Being a mad scientist is fun but the downside is that you don't have that for a nice mad scientist soutable and willing test subjects are hard to come by.
Guy's lucky he has a soutable and willing test subject.
The coloring job is impressive.
