There just aren't enough of certain animals around. But it makes since that most people don't know what a fisher is, being as it's constantly being put on the endangered species.
A fisher is a medium-sized mustelid. Likened in appearance to a mink and a Ferret, prized for the furs more so than even a mink, but as aggressive as their cousin the Wolverine, to the point of being the top predator of the porcupine, and able to take down small deer for food.
So how and why I choose to draw one is the biggest question that should be asked. Well, I had been an active member of the online fur community for some time by this point yet I'd actually no clue as to what my fursona really was. I had never thought about it really, I knew I was a fur and I was for the longest content with that.
However, it would get really frustrating when individuals would mistake me for being what ever my character that they had met me as was. I couldn't figure it out really. I know a lot about a lot of animals really but there was no specific animal that called to me.
So, I went to this site that tells you about animals, I had found it a few days prior while hunting for some information on a few different species. I did a sort of look up. I put the information in that fit me statistically, female, small, single mommy, solitary in nature, night owl of sorts (not always) and then pushed enter and the first thing that popped up was a Fisher cat.
Well, I thought I'd try it on for size and see if it fit me. Problem was it didn't. It wasn't an avatar like I'd hoped, something to represent me, no instead it had became its own character and wasn't a very nice one... So I stopped playing her and gave up on searching for a while.
Anyways, that's how this character came about, she's very nice if she likes you, but extremely territorial and aggressive towards individuals who bug her space, not as tolerant as I am at all.
