Sascha's Master walked up to his Padawan, a young bear hybrid, who was playing with his favorite plushie, a long tailed lynx he called Sammy.
"Are you ready for your lesson, young one? You know it's combat training today."
With a cheeky grin the Ursine tucked away his plushie, then fired up his lightsabers. One of the elegant weapons came to life with the typical deep hum, emitting a bright purple blade. His second lightsaber however ignited with a menacing high pitched wine and a very strange black colored blade that seemed to suck in the light in close vicinity.
"I am always ready, ol ... Master Jedi." Correcting his mistake in the last possible moment, Sascha dropped into an offensive fighting stance.
With a sigh his Master slid into a more defensive position. He knew his Padawan was a talented fighter, almost too advanced for his own good. He was cheeky, a bit agressive and sometimes almost arrogant. Not the best preconditions for a Jedi, but he also had a very kind and deeply caring heart and a child-like innocence.
"Then let's start. Remember your left side, young one. Watch it more closely."
"Yes, Master." Now deeply concentrated his response was more fitting for a Padawan. Only a moment later he sprung into action. Fast attacks from his purple saber drove his Master back, looking for an opening in his defenses. When he found one, after a direct attack to his weaker left side, a powerful counter attack from the black saber sent his Master's lightsaber flying. He wasn't beaten yet and utilizing his Jedi Powers, he tried to get his own saber back. He succeeded, but it was close and only because of Sascha's lack of experience with the normal Jedi powers.
Still, after a long fight the older Jedi grudgingly had to admit defeat.
With an incredibly smug grin and his tongue stuck out Sascha pulled his plushie friend from his robe, placed him on his shoulder and crossed his lightsabers behind his back. Even the plushie seemed to smile at Sascha's victory. One just could not stay mad with the little bear.
"Done already, Master? That was fun, can we do that again?"

Thaaank you, I really like it! That look on his face is so smug and cheeky ... and still you just can't be mad with him. :3

Well, it's just the unofficial Star Wars day... and 4th / Force isn't so far apart, pronunciation-wise. ^.^'

And no, it's not the same Darksaber from The Clone Wars, but it's a bit similar. As Sascha's life is set in the Old Republic, the prime time of the Jedi, they probably have a wide range of lightsaber crystals. A black one is very rare, even rarer than the purple one (Hurrikaine crystal), but not unknown. So I think my lil bear just got lucky in his quest to find his own personal lightsaber crystals. ^^

I know this has probably nothing to do with canon pr legends(expanded universe its your thing how call it) but i dont know why sasha has a dark saber or a dark kyber crystal since those are rare and the only one who had it was the first and last mandalorian jedi and also all of the jedi were striped from their familly after they were born so iam not sure how sasha got his plushie since jedi are forbiden from creating bonds amd what is a plushie ? A clossest friend... a bond and iam sorry if this looks like a hate but i just love star wars and when i see some art for it i imideatly start looking for mistakes.... also who is his master
Maybe sometimes it's best not to overthink things and just enjoy art for what it is.
Black and purple are two colors I love, so getting the lightsabers in those colors... well, why not.

well the fact this is in the old republic time line changes everything, since the jedi order in the films is far more diffrent. back then you could go and basicly join the jedi order if you were force sensitive... also i would like to point out that back when i was writting that comment i was an arogant dick (sorry bout that) and thought i knew everything (well i did know everything about SW) but when it came to acting civilised...well lets just say i was ,,so uncivilised,, as obi wan would say... anyway iam sorry because looking back at that comment i made just makes me feel uncomfortable and itchy... so yeah now that i got that out of my system, i hope you are having a nice day today like here in czech republic since the weather is starting to be more spring like and the birds are coming back
