Sooooo, this is the first thing that I've managed to put together that I like enough to share. I've been working on this for a few hours, tweaking things here and there and I am pleased with where it is going. ^_^
Currently this is just a short clip of a dubstep beat. All the variation and stuff like that will come later, but I wanted to see what others thought of it. I have a reece in there that I am planning on using also. Right now it is just there to put some more depth into the track.

The beat is all done in Ableton and at the moment is completely sample based. The beat is a few layered, warped, chopped percussive loops.
The bassline that is in there now is more of a placeholder to give it some depth so I can see how some of the things work together. I'm using massive to try and put together another bass/subbase as well.

Damn, that bassline is pretty heavy. You said it's mostly a placeholder, but do you plan to build off of that, or create something totally new? It's definitely a good start, and I'd love to hear where you take this.
And just curious, but do you have any dubstep mixes up for grabs on the net? A friend sent me a mix (Dubbed the Fox?) awhile ago, which was the shit, but I haven't really seen anything since.
