NAME: Sarthiran
TITLE: The Aspect of Dreams
-also represents: muse, music, sleep
SPECIES: minor Demonic lord
SIGIL: coming soon
HISTORY: Like his twin brothers Sheogorath and Sanguinar, the story of how Sarthiran became an Aspect is not a vastly interesting one. He was available, Saetan made the offer, and he was curious enough about the mortal world to take the opportunity. But unlike his brothers, whose powers they simply adjusted to, his duties have transformed him utterly. Demons are not creatures usually fond of gentle things, and anything short than the worst nightmares. Sarthiran is Stormhold's version of the Sandman, and Telmarine children are taught at young ages playful lullabies honoring him and calling for him to bring them peaceful sleep and joyful dreams.
PERSONALITY: Very calm, very quiet, and very very unlike any of his fellow demonic Lords. His time in Stormhold has caused him to develop a deep love of the artistic world, and he finds mortal dreams to be fascinating. When his opinion is needed in inter-Aspect affairs, his usual response is to simply agree with his brothers without adding any extra effort of his own, just to grant him more time to enjoy his favored mortal pleasures. His voice is deep and soothing, and he can sing better than any other creature in the known world. Alongside the children who recite his lullabies, and the artists and sculptors to whom he freely offers advice whenever asked, he has a wide following of fans enchanted by his skill. Every five years the Telmarines hold a festival of the arts, in which he has long been the headline performer. Each and every one of his concerts is always sold out.
His brothers are tolerant of his "strange tastes", and don't hold it against him. They never miss one of his performances, in fact, though if asked they will deny they are actually enjoying it. The other Aspects, particularly the other demons, are hard pressed to figure out how he has so thoroughly cast aside his demonic instincts. But he has no enemies among any of them, save perhaps Merishka, who often refers to him as "that sponge-headed tart", and other more colorful nicknames.
POWERS: Sarthiran is one of the many Aspects with the ability to directly influence the minds of mortals, and can technically be seen as the opposite of Garancia. He can cast into a mortal head gentle urgings and suggestions that are interpreted as inspiration, and thus can cause an artist to create marvelous works. He can also send anyone falling into a deep sleep just by glancing at them, and like Garancia can affect an entire crowd with this particular power. During his very first concert, he accidentally set this power loose among his audience, and caused over a thousand men, women and children to keel over.
ARTIST'S COMMENTS: Not much to say with this one. I do see a fair share of errors, and this is another I may redraw at some point. But for being a near twin with Sheogorath, there wasn't much in the way of innovation needed.
