I did this with pencil and actually have it framed now. I drew this during a rather dark time in the past few months where I found myself struggling. Between having surgery and realizing my arm may never be the same again and finding out that my step-dad has cancer, my life has been turned upside down. In the past couple months, I also lost my grandmother and that has been anything but easy to even accept as reality. Through the struggles, I found comfort in a song by Foster The People called Helena Beat. The song is about struggling with drug problems and overcoming that, holding on tight. So I share my work with the rest of you in hopes of reaching out to others who may be struggling and could use some hope.
