XD roger rabbit is a spoof on film noir. :P Roger's wife sorta fits into that femme fetal role. :P

I understand this. What I'm saying is it was asked that it's based on the spoof, thus in full colour.

More or less, Have you ever had artist block, ran out of ideas to draw something.
Asked for commission for art just because you have no more ideas or perhaps you have a few but just want to cut the monotony.

Picked up a commission and had them give you an idea for a piece of work. You really loved this idea, though it was just the out of the box thinking you needed and felt as to run wild with the idea, but the commissioner made you feel constrained as it was their idea?

XD Have you ever felt restricted by a commissioners idea when you wish to be more creative that what they would allow?

Short answer, no.

What would the long answer be?

In many ways I would think the itch to be creative would feel restricting. Though I can't say for everyone that is.
I guess it depends on the situation also, as with commissions many take up for the profits they create that can be put towards bills or newer equipment.

Long answer would be that I do commissions for the love of bringing other's ideas to life and as a qualified graphic designer it is my job to do so, if I felt restricted by it I wouldn't be a freelance artist. Simple as that.

Would you say then you liked to be challenged by restrictions? Thinking outside the box does lead to challenges as well when working with another person. =)

It's my job and I wouldn't do it if I didn't like it.
