I bet many of you didn't know that Burg Frankenstein really exists in Germany. And that Mary Shelly (author of the novel Frankenstein) did get her idea for that book right there. And also that there really once was an Alchemist, who made experiments with dead bodies on this castle...

Yes I knew about there being a Frankenstein in eastern Germany. As a kid I spent many many hours going over National Geographic maps and one day I discovered the town. I did not know about the alchemist and his experiments though I do know about Mary Shelley's story.
Central Europe seems to have come up with some very dark tales -- corpses brought back to life, werewolves out on moon-lit nights, vampires, golems and Kehno.
