Serously if the pic sucked so damn much why not just tell me and not beat around the bush or whatever. Thats also one reason why I said I'll never take a commission with a written discription with no visual references anymore. I know im supposed to be creative, but sometimes your not that creative as you thought you were, nor as creative they theyre imagination are. I dunno, maybe its just stress again

nope, and I told them that I wasnt going to do it right off no ways. And I also had to reactivate my paypal account, so I didnt bother giving out the email address. But I looked on theyre page to see if I could get any word on where they are or how to contact them or whatever, and I seen in a journal that was left when they had left for some con or something. And it *not sure if it was me or not* said something about that they paid almost all the artist they commissioned except one,and that they were just about tired of trying to contact , even though I hadnt heard crap form them, and it was more like me trying to contact them. And ive tried to get in touch on FA with them....but i get nothing. So next week this thing is going in the scraps pile, then eventually to the garbage. thats why Im making a new policy to take no written references for commissions, unless they have a good visual reference as well. And also add this one to the scratch folder of FA users to keep away from

A good visual reference of what though, the character, the scene, or scenery? The character reference I could understand, but that would also be a hindrance if the commisher is wanting you to design their character for the first time. Scene & Scenery would be even harder to get visuals of. Now if you said "Visual reference for symbols, weapons & patterns", then that would probably make a heck of a lot of sense for needing a visual without question.

well, I kinda ment for the character. and it doesnt have to be a ref of there character, ive used refs of other characters to use as a guide to help me out. And some commissioners that think i might not know what something is, or if I ask them, they'll link me to a pic of a character drawn by someone else and just tell me what differences they might have or if they want them in a pose similar to this one. Maybe i should have just taken the time to think things like this out before I go shouting them out. Would really help make sense of things too.

You're letting yourself once again drift into that same mindset that you said you were going to avoid. You should really hang around with me sometime to share my sense of laid-back mindset so you can be more at ease.
