Strangely common theme though, along with most peoples from worlds with a single dominant species essentially calling themselves "The People". Fortunately such limited thinking is usually superseded by broader definitions after the first encounter with an 'alien' race, at least if they're friendly!
Well tipicly we tend to leave lesser species alone and only take interest in there "wild life" as a good stock of new genetics. The tribal nature is very off putting. we'd prefer to find space faring or at the very minimum a race that has taken a unified stance and soon to be a space fearing spices. That's not to say we haven't had run ins with trouble makers. /^\/^\
